So you’ve got the jet black INC cord blazer, and you want another slim, fine wale cord blazer that’s not 1970s orangey-brown. Maybe something in grey, being that a grey jacket can work with jeans and either brown or black shoes. Nordstrom’s trim and affordable line “1901” is one of if not the only place to turn to for a jacket that sure looks like it hits those points and then some.
Here’s the unique combination of details that gives this blazer huge upside:
The style marriage between the lower patch pockets and the besom chest pocket is extremely well done. It looks great, and although patch pockets are a welcome dressed down effect, a patch pocket on the chest can sometimes look goofy. The lapels are also nice and trim. Something you don’t see on a laid back cord blazer that often. The color options sure look awfully similar on the net, but you can’t go wrong with the grey.
Consider a red checked shirt underneath if you want to stand out a little more. Well reviewed (even though there’s just one review) and sizes range from XS – XXL
