Fall Essentials from Levi’s
Levi’s might have been the only group in the U.S. to be disappointed with the demise of jorts. Ever since America fell out of love with knee length denim, summer just hasn’t been their season.
That’s not the case for fall. Here’s three inexpensive pieces by Levi’s worth considering…
(Moving from left to right up top.)
Levi’s 514 Slim Fit Cords – $36.99 (reg. $48.00)
These are precisely the same fit as the slim (but not skinny) 514 jeans. If you’ve been known to do a squat or lunge without collapsing, these could get a little trim through your thighs. But unlike the jeans, the cords seem to stretch and move a little better. When I tried these on I literally went from my 514s that I wore into the store, to these. The cords were much more comfortable. The color called “Revolver” is a great medium gray, and the Levi’s tag on the back pocket is a stand out white. Nice detail.
Levi’s Military Trucker Jacket – $68.00
The pics online don’t do it justice. One of the first things you’ll notice when you snap it closed, is that it’s more fitted than your standard cotton/canvas type of trucker jacket. It fits closer at the sides, but it’s not tight. There’s a hood zippered into the collar which helps it stand up, but it’s not obtrusive. The snaps are also a nice dull medium gray color. It’s got a bit of a textured look to it too. Not your standard cotton chino jacket.
Levi’s 501 Original Fit Jeans – $29.99 (reg. $48.00)
Two reasons: #1: Because it’s finally cool enough that you’re reaching for jeans. And #2: Because they’re an American legend, on sale in a classic color, for under $30.
