The slim quilted jacket has sort of a tactical look, and not nearly they amount of puff we’re used to seeing from this style of outerwear. This new evolution leans more Jason Statham, less Michelin Man.
J. Crew is even pushing a sleeveless “Body Warmer” by Belstaff made to be worn under the Roadmaster Jacket. For $200. Two-hundred bucks for a vest. Eesh.
Skip that particular vest, add some sleeves, and knock off $50 or $100 and you’ve got a stand out fall into winter jacket. Both the ASOS and Boden version come without a hood. Which is good. You don’t want one.
