Keep it brief. But be genuine. Tell them how much it meant to you (assuming that it did) and specifically mention the deed or gift you were on the receiving end of.
Stamp it and mail it. Even if you see them every day or live just down the street. It’s the process of a traditional thank you that will really show your appreciation.
