These suits were first discovered during the President’s Day Weekend Sales, and Hilfiger really seems to deliver with these.  This line of suits has a perfectly trim cut, the price is decent at $300, and they’re also highly rated online.  Which is no small feat, since everybody loves to bitch on the internet.

There’s also enough variety to keep anyone who’s looking for another (or first) suit busy:

• Navy Stripe (pictured above)
• Grey Sharkskin
• Solid Black for those who just seem to have to have a black suit.
• And even a Seersucker if you live in the deep south.

Now, just because it’s a trim fit, don’t neglect to get it tailored.  Trim, slim, or athletic fit suits are a great template for a tailor to work off of.  They won’t fit your body off the rack.

And another suggestion… you should really have your own tailor.  Don’t depend on the sales person to pin you up in the fitting rooms to only have it sent off to wherever they outsource their alterations.  Get a tailor.  A real tailor.  Someone who comes highly recommended by the women at your workplace, and also works on the clothes of the men those ladies are married to.  If they have an Eastern European accent, that’s even better.  Be specific, tip them well, and they’ll be the ace up your quarter-inch-of-cuff showing sleeve for the rest of time.
