Yes, $70 is way too much for a friggin’ sweatshirt. But when Ralph Lauren first put these in stores, they were selling for $125. The prices has been methodically coming down, and this looks like it should be the last stop before it hits the clearance rack.
And once it hits the clearance rack, sizes will be limited.
Still available in Medium, Large, and Extra-Large in all four colors, it might be worth dropping some serious cash to get a sweatshirt/track jacket/ full zip cotton cardigan of this quality. The neck, sleeve, and cuff stripes are perfectly thick and bold. It’s cut roomy but not too bulky, and when you put it on you instantly notice the thermal waffle knit lining. It’s about as nice as a track jacket or full zip sweatshirt can get. And having a go-to extremely comfortable zip up or cardigan comes in super handy in the colder months.
Will the price get reduced even more? Maybe. But it’s a risk to wait. Because by the time it gets to around $40 – $50 there might only be XLs left. But for most of us, the risk is worth it because $70.00 is still way too expensive.
