Part of finding great deals on great clothes is being able to stay the same size so you can continue to fit into those clothes. Follow me here? Getting a tremendous deal on a nice suit for just $200 won’t mean squat if the pants are too small come May.
My strategy for what I call “staying in my clothes” is running. Early mornings mostly, with the new dog. Especially if it’s cold. I love it when it’s cold. Surviving those early morning cold temps requires a shirt that wicks sweat away but still keeps you plenty warm. A higher collar and compression on your body helps too. Is it supposed to be tight? No. Cinched down is probably more accurate. You don’t want to be cutting off circulation but you also want it to be snug against your body. No loose fabric getting in your way with this shirt.
It sounds silly, but I guarantee I’d run a minute or two faster over five or six miles in this shirt compared to a standard cotton long sleeve number. It feels better, you move through the air better, you’re not fighting your clothing the entire time.
Reebok has a deal with the NFL so of course they’ve got the NFL shield all over anything remotely athletic related. I’m not dodging linebackers, but this cold weather shirt is perfect for staying in shape during the fall, winter, and early spring.
The only drawback is that it can’t do anything to help me see those random patches of ice. And I usually know I’ve hit one of those once my feet go above my head.
Be careful. Run hard, and Stay warm.
