Express has been cranking out their signature 1MX Men’s Oxfords for awhile now. Didn’t seem like there was a reason to switch up what was working for them but I’m glad they took a risk and did. You can still get their classic 1MX shirt but I’d suggest going with their fitted style. It debuted in the last few years and the shirt is cut slimmer all around. Especially in those areas like the waist and chest, which on other shirts will tend to billow out. It should fit like a tailored shirt off the rack and the stretch cotton fabric moves with you just enough for it to be extremely comfortable.
There are a few drawbacks. They wrinkle like hell in the laundry, the back of the collar has a tendency to get some weird creases in it after a few months of wear, and they only come in the standard S, M, L, XL. Unlike a dress shirt you’d buy at a department store which will have neck and sleeve measurements, you’re stuck with limited size options on these. Translation = Might fit great in the waist, but could be short in the sleeve.
Great for every day wear without a tie. With a tie and suit, I use them as back ups for my other tailored dress shirts. And when they start to get old and worn down, they’re the most comfortable after work / weekend beat up oxford out there. The tail is MUCH shorter than a regular dress shirt, so it looks just fine untucked.
Lighter colors for work, darker colors for hitting the town. Can’t go wrong.
