As a man who married a gal who is basically Snow White to the greater animal community, gives diplomatic immunity to house spiders, and has developed a deeper relationship with a squirrel (Frankie) than her husband has with most people… I don’t love the idea of using animal carcasses for apparel (not sure why shoes feel different.) Especially after this past week, as I was called into action to put a maimed squirrel (thankfully not Frankie) out of its misery (shovel.)

Sometimes leather jackets just look cool. On some people. Maybe you’re one of those people. Your friendly neighborhood style blog editor and emergency squirrel euthanasia administrator is not one of those people. But Nordstrom Rack appears to have just got in a bunch (like a lot) of Frye leather and suede jackets. And they’re on sale for almost half off. That’s pretty good, as leather jackets are expensive, and Frye isn’t some no-name brand slinging cheap bonded “leather” junk on social media, eBay, or in the darkest corners of Amazon.

Not actually an antique. Quite not. In fact, the blend of cafe-racer style + gray goat suede is pretty modern looking.
