Banana Republic Slub Double Knit Polos – $58.80 ($98)
Heads up: Banana Republic extended their 40% off Friends and Family sale through tonight, Tuesday 9/29 (full picks here), and they’ve added a bunch of new arrivals too. These are from the just in/new arrivals drop. A more refined but still casual alternative to wearing a bulky/squishy hoodie.
Frye Paul Chukkas – $188
Working on a full in-person review so stand by for that. Initial impressions are pretty strong. Nice leather uppers, leather lined, perfect shape to the toe, and simple enough to wear with a suit. They’re kinda a more affordable alternative to the Sanders Milan. Lots of colors too: Dark Brown, Black, or a few different suede options (on a different product page.) Made in India. Slim but grippy rubber outsole is a plus as well. Ships/returns for free via Nordstrom.
Relwen Heritage Trap Blazers – $368
Five different colors to pick from, but that “Loden/Rust District Plaid” shown above is pretty terrific. Relwen’s Trap blazers are a bit of a legend. They’ve got heritage details like a subtle game pocket, but they’re also contemporary enough to wear everywhere with just about anything. Ships/returns for free via Huckberry.
Seiko “Tweed Green” HDB005 Automatic – $400ish?
Set to be released in October. Tweed green dial and bezel. Rose gold tone indices and hands. A bit beefier on the dimensions side: 42.5mm diameter / 14.2mm thick, but it sure looks good.
Banana Republic Waxed Quilted Jacket – $238.80 ($398)
Another new arrival which is also part of the just-extended 40% off deal at Banana Republic. Clearly (quite) different than the Skyfall jacket, but in the same ballpark. Onion style quilting with brass-tone snaps.
