Friday Update: Oh come on. Well, J. Crew has upped their promo to 40% off select full and an extra 60% off final sale items. Same code. LONGWKND. That’s gonna peeve off some of their customers who jumped on this early, when it was “just” 30% off / Extra 50% off. ESPECIALLY those who signed up for their new Rewards Program “Passport” to get early access, only to see a better deal pop up a couple days later. That’s some weird behavioral economics J. Crew. You can always try contacting customer service and asking for a price adjustment ( C.S. email is: help@jcrew.com ). But yeah. What the H-E-Double-Hockey Sticks. Kinda feel like a chump. Which ain’t a great way to make your customers feel. Look, it’s their business and maybe early returns from the Labor Day deal aren’t great, and they’re pushing all the buttons? There have been some additions to the sale section overnight. It’s just that sizes are so scattered that they almost don’t warrant mention. Steal of the section still seems to be that unstructured suit jacket in super 120s Loro Piana wool, which thanks to its patch pockets, could easily be worn as a blazer. But there’s now a review on said suit-jacket saying it runs small. Yet that review is specifically for a size 34S, and the extreme ends of the spectrum can sometimes get wonky. $150 is a lot to drop on a final sale risk. so be warned.

Also be aware that there are some “limited time special price” items littered about in the sale section as well. Those are not getting the extra 50% off. Tricky, and a bit annoying.
