Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend or a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
Noticeably better than what JC Penney is usually, perpetually running. Why? Because normally anything under $100 is 20% or 25% off. Can’t recall the last time they did 30%. Prices can slide around, quite a bit, with JC Penny, but $45 for those Stafford Boots is an absolute steal. Code GOSAVE34 expires today, 9/22/16.
Sweet. Been a while since Lands’ End included sale items in their codes and promos (been a lot of x% off one regular priced item codes lately). Appears that there’s plenty in the sale section from last fall worth a good strong look, now, at super affordable prices.
Full disclosure: Got no, none, zero, zilch experience with RL footwear. But some (read: some) of their shoes are made by Allen Edmonds? Or at least used to be? Pretty sure that these aren’t made by AE (they’re from their lower “polo” line), but the Chukkas do say they use Horween suede. Not much info on the Chelseas, but, they might allow some of us to scratch that itch without bleeding out almost half a grand for the (amazing) Allen Edmonds Liverpool. There’s also the Jack Erwin Ellis for a $220.
That is… an unusually good deal for Brooks Brothers. They rarely run sales, and for it to be 40% off suits and sportcoats, plus a shirt bundle deal? And it runs clear through Tuesday the 27th? Not bad. Shirt deal works out to $56.33 per shirt. Meanwhile, a heads up: it appears that they’ve eliminated their “Fitzgerald” fit from their sportcoat line? So now it goes from Milano (a true slim) to Regent (more of an athletic, but not too boxy fit). Kinda odd.
It’s basically a very limited, select item sale. Something that mainline J. Crew does quite often. Good news is that there’s some good looking, new fall goods in there. Bad news is, and most of you know this, that while 50% off the “valued at” price is good, it’s not the best that it can get. Too bad those Gilt City vouchers are now expired.
LL Bean doesn’t do a ton of sales and promos. And when they do, the discount is usually pretty small. So to knock an extra 20% off stuff that’s already on sale, AND there’s a bunch of their more modern “Signature” line available? That’s worth a gander. Impressive that those long wings are Goodyear welted and claim “American Full Grain Leather” for the uppers.
The Huck team is off on vacation. Which means their big winter clearance is very…
Brooks Brothers starts their winter clearance with an additional 25% off sale items.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
