East Dane is an Amazon project. But unlike Amazon, East Dane has a ton of higher end, designer goods. Some of which most of us would never even think about wearing, let alone shelling out the luxury prices for. But that doesn’t mean all of their stock is only runway-appropriate. They do have some more down to earth stuff as well, all backed by the shipping and returns machine that is the retail nation of Bezosistan (think fast, free shipping… especially if you have Amazon Prime).
This sale feels like a well stocked clearance. Code 25EXTRA only works on items that are already on sale, so, that helps make the prices much more digestable. Picks below are limited to items that had at least a decent size selection at post time.
Walks the line between smart casual and dressed up professional. Not too stuffy, but the leather panels add some class. Comes with a shoulder strap for longer hauls.
Panda style chronograph on a leather Zulu strap. Ronda Swiss Quartz movement. List price seems awfully high for the specs it comes with, but if you like the design, then the sale price might be worth giving it a look, knowing that you can always return it.
Smart looking boat shoes/camp mocs at a dirt cheap/throwaway shoe price. Navy leather uppers with contrasting raw-hide laces and that classic off-white sole.
No, they aren’t cheap, but they are made in the USA. Plus, a couple of you wrote in suggesting these after a request for tips on super stretchy jeans was recently sent out into the ether. 92% cotton/6% polyester/2% elastane. So much more stretch than other jeans that mix in just a little elastane. In terms of fit, the pictures make em’ look pretty close, but the description says they’re a straight fit? And the name of the jeans themselves, “Slimmy Slim Straight”, doesn’t help much. Slimmy Slim Straight is just about as specific as Boaty McBoatface. COME BACK JOEY JO JO!
Just a heads up. This thing is classic in design and looks and… size. 11″ high, 4″ in deep, and 15″ long. So it won’t fit all laptops. Plus the interior is pretty minimalistic. Still, made in the UK and sure appears to be built to last.
Do-anything, warm weather sneakers for a nicely low price. Padded edge should be more comfortable than standard canvas kicks. Leather accents.
Not a ton of sizes left, but 38 and 40 were available at post time. Made in Portugal. Description says the sleeves are lined, but makes no mention of the back or front? Maybe it’s all but unlined then?
For the guys who are on the smaller size themselves, or, for the guys who can’t stand watches that take up a good chunk of the wearers wrist. Japanese quartz movement. Good looking leather bands. Simple, straightforward design.
Something to be aware of: The cap on these cap-toe double monks has a slight curve to it. Almost like a subtle wave effect. It’s a design cue that some are gonna find interesting/desirable, but others will find to be a little too odd. Now, that said, Billy Reid shoes are awfully well made. Crafted in Italy.
A basic from the British designer. Cotton. Navy base with white stripes. Made in India.
Certainly leans casual, but what workplace doesn’t these days? And that price. Made in the USA, waxed canvas, and leather accents, for right around a hundred if not less? Not bad.
Out of season, but a fall classic in the minds of many. Waxed canvas exterior, flannel lined, corduroy collar, and the description claims these things are made in the UK. Really? Apparently so. Chest high hand warmer pockets are a nice touch.
Final sale? No returns? WHY WOULD YOU EVER WANT TO?!??
The newly updated JP only this time instead of duck canvas, soft nubuck leather. And in a super versatile shade of grey no less.
The perfect card for a pirate to write an apology note on after he and a friend or lover have had an arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgument. … *cough cough* …No? Well then, I’ll show myself out.
