Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
You guys know how these things work. Login (or, create a gilt account) and click the “RSVP” button on the voucher page. A little while later (sometimes minutes, sometimes hours) GiltCity will email you a user-specific code. The key is to hang out and wait for JCF to run a larger-ish sale that does NOT need an extra promo code. And then? You stack that extra 30% off on top of the other deal. Sadly, not good on suits. And you have to use it by March 14th. Picks above show the 30% off voucher stacked on top of some what’s in their select 40% off items sale.
Sidenote: Gilt has drastically changed their return policy. No more return only for store credit (more or less). You can now get your cash back, less a steep $9.50 restocking fee, and as long as it’s not final sale or one of the limited, no-returns categories. The Parent Company of Sak’s bought Gilt recently, and it looks like they’re sick of the old return policy as well. You can also return stuff to Saks OFF 5TH locations. So, maybe something to keep an eye on?
The Pick: Astorflex Chukka in Dark Chestnut, Dark Khaki, or Whiskey – $129.98 ($145)
For those who like to hunt down classic styles that (most likely) posess higher quality than the entry level stuff. (Even if the entry level stuff is the well loved Clarks Desert Boot.) Made in Italy from European Suede. Soles are rubber and made from pure latex. Yes, they cost more than a Clark’s DB, but might be worth it in the end. Just whole sizes, and they recommend sizing down in you’re in between.
20% off is decidedly low for BR’s usual 30% – 40% off past. But are things tightening up in terms of promos and codes? They haven’t run a 40% off code for a bit now. At least this 20% offer stacks with their mutli-buy polo deal. So, buy two or more of their select polos, including the outstanding luxe-touch polos, and you automatically get 30% off, and then another 20% comes off with that code.
The Pick: Filson Original Briefcase – $225.25 ($265)
Good grief. High enough thresholds East Dane? Well, it’s not a huge discount on the Filson Original Briefcase… but Filson can be real tough to find on sale. So at least there’s something.
Plus, free shipping no minimum through today. So an impulse buy like that olive web belt is quite possible. This is one of those “20% off your purchase!” and then you get to the site, and realize an enormous amount of their stock is excluded (like almost all sportcoats). Strange that their new American Wool suit, in that lighter, slate-y blue, is getting the cut though. Even if it’s just 20%.
