The end of the year means it’s time to hand out some awards. No, there’re no little statues to pass along, but over the next few days we’ll still highlight some of the best in affordable men’s style from this past year. And it was a good one. Feel free to send in additional nominations here.
“The blue line suits are all half canvas, the fabric we offer in this line are Barberis 110’s that we buy large quantity in these basics, so that gives us room to offer these at $399.

A repeat champion. A reasonable $399 price point, free shipping and free returns, an ever expanding variety of patterns and shades to pick from, and you don’t have to mess with measurements, custom fees, or complicated and spendy returns. Their half-canvas construction, mighty fine feeling and draping Italian wools, and their well documented attention to detail is a whole lotta goodness for four hundred bucks.
Currently their $399 blue line only comes in their Napoli silhouette. Not every guy can squeeze into their “married” pairs of suit jackets and pants (yet they are doing some separates for an up-charge), but for most, Suitsupply delivers one hell of a suit for less than you’d think.
Also Receiving Votes: J. Crew Factory’s ever expanding Thompson line. The Lands’ End Year’rounder Suit Jacket + Pant. J. Crew’s Ludlow and Crosby suits if you can snag em’ on sale. Spier & Mackay Suits (the guys on threads love em’… working on a review here).
