Allen Edmonds 2nds Sale, Textured Tuxes, & More – The Thurs. Sales Handful

Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.

Allen Edmonds Shoebank: Extra 15% – 30% off 2nds

  • Cornwallis Oxford – $254.15
  • Dalton Wingtip Boot – $299.15
  • Carlyle Oxford – $199.00
  • Strand Oxford – $254.15

As is always the case with the Shoebank, models and leather colors can vary greatly depending on size and width. It’s their Labor Day sale, and it’s running from now through Monday the 7th. Extra 15% – 30% off everything. And while prices have gone up, everywhere, there are a few steals in this one. The Carlyle is under two hundred bucks, Daltons are down to $288, and even the brand new Cornwallis has made it’s way to the shoebank. More info on how the Shoebank works can be found over here. Many thanks to Eric L. for the tip!

UNIQLO: Topcoats have arrived + $15 off $100+ w/ BACK2SCHOOL

The Picks: Wool Cashmere Coat in Grey Glen Plaid, Solid Navy, or Camel – $134.90 ($149.90)

After a false start last week (they put them on the site, then removed them quickly)… UNIQLO has their annual topcoat offerings back up and available for purchase. Plus, the $15 off $100+ code BACKTOSCHOOL brings the already affordable price down. Remember, these things are pretty thin. They drape nice, but keeping the chill out isn’t really their priority. Be prepared to layer if it’s below 30.

Cool Material: 15% off Watches

The Picks: MWC G10 Military Watch in Grey, Black, Desert, or Olive – $66 – $72 ($96)

Already on sale and Cool Material has just knocked an extra 15% off. Just 39mm in diameter if you include the crown (and takes 18mm bands). So don’t expect some big honkin’ thing. Tells the time. Looks good. That’s it, that’s the list. The kind of watch that if, say, J. Crew got their hands on it, they’d probably charge a heck of a lot more for.

Express: Extra 40% off Clearance Items

The Pick: Textured Wool Blend Tux Jacket and Matching Pant – $169.18 ($476)

Not gonna lie. This thing appears to have major potential. Sure, the buttons aren’t covered like a traditional tux jacket, but the “tonal checkerboard” texture could be outstanding looking in person. Looks pretty good online, and might make for a just-different-enough getup for black tie events. Nice button stance too. Discount happens at checkout. No code here.

Amazon: 20% off Select Shoes w/ NEW4FALL

To say that this week’s handful is underwhelming would be an understatement. Perhaps everyone is gearing up for the big Labor Day weekend sales next week? Guessing that’s almost certainly the case. Not a bad time to pick up a pair of made in the USA boots though. The Florsheim Dress chukka are most certainly not made in the USA, but the shape is pretty close to perfect. More on the Jet and similar boots over here.
