Brooks Brothers Semi Annual Sale June 2015

Brooks Brothers Semi Annual Sale (ends 7/3)

Brooks Brothers isn’t a brand that constantly runs sales, so when they do launch a big event, it’s worth paying attention to. And their semi-annual sale is one of the better events that they run. This year, they seem to be focusing on buying-in-bulk. Buy four shirts, save 40%. Same goes for ties as well as polos/rugbys/tees. There are other buy-in-bulk deals, as seen over here, but more or less… the majority of the Brooks Brothers site is on sale.

And what a site it is. They have a ton of inventory. Here’s the best of the best. As always, picks below are limited to those items with at least a decent size selection at post time, unless otherwise noted.

Four Non-Iron Dress Shirts = $55.20 per (normally $92)

A pretty solid deal for those that swear by their Brooks Brothers non-iron dress shirts, but you do have to buy four to get the sale price (so a minimum investment of $208.80). Their workhorse non-irons usually run $92. Buy four and they drop to a much more palatable $55.20. But for cryin’ out loud, why did they have to “name” their shirt fits? They used to be called extra slim, slim, regular, etc… Now they’re “Milano” “Regent” and so on. Most will stick to the Milano (extra slim) and Regent (slim) fits.

Made in the USA Medallion or Perforated Cap Toes – $321.00 ($428)

Basically the Strand and Fifth Ave from Allen Edmonds. Insole is usually a little different, and these come pre-equipped with a grippy but slim sole. Size & width availability varies depending on model/leather shade. Both of these run $385 direct through AE, but you’ll have to pop an extra $40 to get some grip put on the leather outsole. Plus, it’s tough to find these flagship models on sale.

Fitz. Fit Italian Oxford Cloth Sportcoat in Blue or Green – $268.80 ($448)

Really liking that green version. A not-so-normal color without looking like you’re photosynthesizing. Fabric is woven in Italy. Sleeve buttons sure appear to be non-functioning. Center vent. Hand me another Mint Julep.

Luggage Tags in Tartan, Plaid, etc. – $28.50 ($38)

Well that’s one way to make your luggage stand out on the carousel.

Fitzgerald Fit Half-Lined Linen Check Sportcoat – $268.80 ($448)

Breezy and a bit on the bold side, but the size of the checks means it shouldn’t be too tough to pull off. That, and micro patterns can do a pretty nice job in terms of hiding the inevitable wrinkles that linen will pick up. Fitzgerald fit. Center vent. Spendy, but it’s Brooks Brothers. And it could be a lifesaver/heat-stroke-preventer if you’re headed to a fancy wedding this summer.

Cedar Shoe Valet + Starter Kit – $98.00 ($128)

Made in the USA Valet, horse-hair brushes, daubers, and some shoe creme. Not a bad kit to keep your shoe collection looking its best. Full review here.

BB #1 Stripe Money Clip – $28.50 ($38)

It’s surprsing how difficult it is to find fabric magnetic money clips. Everything is either all leather, or shined up metal and minus the magnets. Just enough color.

Supima Cable Cardigan – $99 ($128) | Cotton Shawl Collar – $64 ($128)

A couple of summer layers. The kind of sweaters that’ll look good with shorts once the sun sets. Especially that nautical chest-stripe number with the shawl collar.

Rectangle Acetate or Black Metal Navigator Sunglasses – $71.25 ($95)

Brooks Brothers house-brand sunglasses are on-par with the likes of Banana Republic sunglasses. So, the quality is decent, but not mind blowing. With the sale, these drop into that rarefied territory of not gas-station cheap, and not super expensive. Kinda liking that stripe on the temples of the Navigators.

Golden Fleece Embossed Leather Card Case – $73.50 ($98)

One of those things that Brooks Brothers has made for a while, and will probably continue to make for years and years to come. A basic card case, but that Golden Fleece embossing is pretty slick.

Red Fleece Grey Seersucker Sportcoat – $238.80 ($398)

Pretty pricey for a soft construction sportcoat, but the color & the seersucker are spot on. Grey seersucker doesn’t get nearly enough credit, compared to its more traditional blue & white cousin. From their Red Fleece collection, so expect trimmer lines throughout, and a shorter tail.

Tan Suede Made in the USA Boots – $411 ($548)

Out of season, super expensive, but all kinds of spectacular. Pretty darn sure these are made by Alden? They look strikingly similar to the suede crepe-sole boots that they made for J. Crew a season or two ago.

Oxford Cloth Trousers in Milano or Clark Fit – $63.00 ($105)

A warning on these: A reviewer complained that the Milano Fit, in Yellow, was translucent. But maybe that won’t carry over to the blue & green options shown above? Milano is as slim as they get, while the Clark is a breezier straight fit.

Black Fleece Pebble Soft Briefcase – $397.50 ($795)

Holy pebble! That’s a lot of texture. Lined in French Calf (even though the pics look like it’s fabric lined? Eh?). Made in Italy. 15″ wide. Lurking in the Black Fleece section.

Gore-Tex Lined Hiking Boots – $89.40 ($298)

More than just looks. Vibram sole, lined in Gore-tex, Goodyear-welt, and classic good looks with the leather exterior and red laces. Not part of the “semi-annual” sale technically, but instead hanging out in the sale section. Good amount of sizes too. Guess the usual Brooks Brothers clientele doesn’t get out and hit the trails all that often.

Made in the USA Kiel James Patrick Stripe & Tartan Belt – $35.40 ($118)

Doesn’t get much preppier than that. Made in the USA too. Wool/Silk with leather accent and solid brass hardware. 1.25″ wide.

Regent Fit Ultimate Travel Blazer – $209.40 ($698)

For when your travels take you somewhere super hot, but you still want to have a jacket on hand. 3/8 lined. Wool blend. And in case a summer thunderstorm pops up, the Loro Piana Rainsystem helps keep the blazer water resistant, without changing the look or handfeel.

Superga Cotu Classic Canvas Sneakers – $48.75 ($65)

THOUGHT YOU COULD ESCAPE SEEING THESE AGAIN, DIDN’T YOU. Not really on sale all that often, anywhere, so if you like em’, now’s not a bad time to pick them up on discount.

The Brooks Brothers Semi-Annual Sale “limited time values” are set to expire on July 3rd.
