J. Crew 25% off + their latest batch of New Arrivals

SUMMERLOVE = 25% off select styles + free shipping no min.

With the long weekend looming, J. Crew has released a nice sized, new batch of summer-ready styles just in time to tempt a few bucks out of our wallets. It’s the annual honeymoon period many of us have with summer. It’s warming up, but we’re not soaked in sweat. Yet. And now’s the time some of us might take a look at the wardrobe and figure it could use a lighter or brighter addition.

It’s a standard J. Crew “25% off your purchase” code. Tons of exclusions, like almost all suiting, including the “Engineer Stripe” number they used in the promo imagery seen above. So, 25% off BUT NOT THIS SUIT SEEN HERE BAH HAHAHAHAHA!!!  Damn. Yet they’re throwing in free shipping no minimum through today (5/18), and that’ll go a long way if you’re grabbing just a new swimsuit or polo or lightweight pants. 25% off SUMMERLOVE code runs through Thursday.

Kenton Suede Penny Loafers w/ White Soles – $148.50 ($198)

Gonna look great with a summer-fabric suit. Gonna get dirty real quick. That’s the thing about light sole shoes. They’re certainly warm-weather stylish, but you’ll have to scrub em’ up from time to time. Goodyear welt as is always the case with their Kenton line.

Crosby Fit Tic-Weave Italian Cotton Sportcoat – $186 ($248)

Nice.  They’re making Crosby sportcoats now. And this one is dead-on for the warm weather. Light in both color and construction, but not totally unconstructed. Should walk the line between casual and dressed-up quite nicely. Patch pockets. Side vents in the rear. And a slightly widened lapel. More on the Crosby fit here.

Crosby Fit Pindot Cotton Sportcoat – $133.50 ($178)

Patterns are big this year. And unlike floral patterns, you don’t need to be overflowing with sha-putz-fa to wear dots. Especially small, tightly clustered dots like these. There’s a uniformity to them. Not as conservative as stripes, but not “heyyyyyyyy let’s PARTY!” wacky either.

Slim Tipped Polo Shirt – $37.12 ($49.50)

J. Crew’s version of Penguin’s Earl? Available in black, white, or royal blue with tipping at the collar and sleeves. Now, is it made in their “slim” fit, or are the stripes slim? Cheaper than the Earl and ships free today too.

Kenton Suede Tassel Loafer – $148.50 ($190)

Proof that tassel loafers can look sleek and young, instead of clunky and old. A nice alternative to bucks and can absolutely be worn with a summer suit.

Bowery Slim Fine Striped Linen or Bowery Classic Cotton Linen – $66 ($88)

Summery pants that avoid looking too casual. Super fine-stripe all-linen on the left, with a cross-hatch linen/cotton blend from Ireland’s Baird McNutt on the right. Tab waist closure keeps it sleek. Another item that the free shipping no-minimum offer helps out quite a bit on.

Ludlow Sportcoat in Italian Cotton – $171 ($228)

Gets a well deserved mention whenever it goes on sale. Great shade of blue, patch pockets, and barely constructed. Yet the Italian cotton is smooth instead of rumpled, so you can easily dress it up or down. Sometimes excluded from promos and codes. Not this time.

Made in the USA Braided Web Belt – $29.62 ($39.50)

Normally would have cost an extra five bucks to ship. But not today. Made in the USA. A summer belt that’s obviously not going to slip as the day wears on.

Crosby Traveler Glen Plaid Suit Jacket & Pant – $389.98 ($700)

This thing was stuck at full price forever… and now in the last month its dipped more than a few times. Now under four hundred bucks, which doesn’t happen often with J. Crew suiting. Cut in the athletic-fit Crosby silhouette. 40R is back in stock too. Half lined back. Traveler Italian Wool. Great muted navy on blue glen-plaid pattern. More on the Crosby fit over here.

Rustic Cotton Shawl Collar Sweater – $88.50 ($117)

A black cardigan for the summer? Yes indeed. Here’s how to wear it. Speedboat not required. Although it does help.

Slim Merino V-Neck – $29.99 FINAL ($78)

Not a new arrival, but it is an extra 50% off and lurking in the sale section. Thirty bucks, comes in their slimmed down silhouette, and ships free today. Not a bad v-neck to have on hand for post sundown this summer.

Ticking Stripe Belt – $29.62 ($39.50)

An annual warm weather staple. Ships free, easy to wear. Shorts, chinos, etc. Even jeans. Especially jeans.

“Legacy” Italian Wool Blazer in Crosby or Ludlow Fit – $291 ($388)

J. Crew’s newest blazer seems to revert back to their previous style from a couple seasons back. Gone are the brass buttons and the patch pockets of their “club” blazer. Some will complain that this new legacy blazer looks like an oprhaned suit jacket. Keeping the patch pockets could have helped avoid that look, but perhaps the “topstitching” on the lapels and pockets will help there? Also, if it’s anything like their blazers from 2013, it should feel fantastic. Meanwhile, it has to be the lighting, because there’s not a lot of blue to that shade of navy. And there’s just that one single shot online so far (and they use the same shot for the Ludlow & Crosby fit). Full bemberg lining. Nice to see that they made a Crosby option too.

The free shipping no min. offer expires today, 5/18, but the 25% off code SUMMERLOVE runs through Thursday May 21st.
