It’s all final sale. No returns and no exchanges on this stuff. So that legendary Bonobos Ninja customer service isn’t quite as thorough as it usually is. This time, instead of wielding their katanas and having your back even after the package arrives, they sorta just push your new duds out onto a raft, and wave pleasantly at you (and your pants… or sweater) as it hits your door step.
But there does seem to be a few new items dumped into their sale section. And with winter far, far from over, now might be the time to take a risk on something final sale. As always, picks below are limited to items with at least a decent size selection (unless otherwise noted) at post time.
Not a bad price for a slim Merino V that ships free. Available in tons of colors and a surprisingly wide variety of sizes. Also available in their close, but not tight, standard fit. To see color availability once you’re on the item page, just click the drop down box and you’ll see what shades should be available.
The thing about a medium to light grey, washed cotton blazer… is that it’s a true year round sportcoat. Wear it now over a sweater, and wear it in the summer to a laid back wedding with off-white five pockets and a gingham shirt.
A great layer to wear under a chunky house sweater. Slub cotton feels more like a t-shirt than some spongey golf-course polo. Sizes seem to be going kinda quick on these.
Made here in the states from Italian wool with a natty lookin’ stripe pattern to it. More spring/summer looking, but why not wear it now? Down to TheTieBar-type pricing (once you lump in TheTieBar shipping), when it originally was going for almost a hundred bucks.
Too flashy for plenty, but in-a-heartbeat for others. Made in the UK, Goodyear Welted… but it’s that damn final sale stipulation. Plus, has Bonobos adapted for Grenson’s sizing? Even if they have, shoes (especially loafers) + final sale = way too risky.
The flagship for Bonobos dress shirts. Neck and sleeve measurements, an attention to detail on construction… and really friggin’ expensive when at full price. Sizes are a bit limited, but there seems to be more than a few average/normal sizes to pick from.
Just the slim cut gets the, uh… cut… this time. Sizes are kinda limited on this one too. Stripes just don’t get enough love. They’re not as loud as a gingham or check, and they look terrific behind a solid knit tie.
All cotton if memory serves. Launched as part of their spring/summer line… but should make a great, around-the-house sweater even in the colder months.
Some guys wear cardigans all the time. Some avoid them like the plague. If you’re cardigan-curious, but hesitant, try picking one up (whether here, or from some clearance rack at Target or something) and wearing it super dressed down on the weekend. Beat up jeans, desert boots, washed poplin button down, that kinda thing.
Sizes are a bit scattered on these. While some might think these would be reserved for warmer weather… why can’t they pull some duty under a blazer or sweater right now? Washed, 2-ply cotton.
Red Pants. RED PANTS. Like a cold weather version of those nantucket red pants you see every so often once the weather hits 80+ degrees. Made in the USA from, Cone Denim. Sizes are here and there on these.
Great price, but that’s a lot to risk on a final sale item. The thing is, if it fits? It’s a steal. English milled tweed. Non-functioning button cuffs. Half lined. Decent variety of sizes left in their great-for-most “standard” fit. But again, final sale. Hm. Well… crap.
