30% off is standard. 40% off is nice. 50% off = get this stuff out of our warehouses… please. The vast majority of it is final sale though, so, no returns. But here we are at the end of the winter clearance “season” (there’s plenty of actual winter left though), and J. Crew seems primed to dump this inventory and move onto spring. $5 flat rate shipping on purchases under $150. Code 24HOURS expires today, 1/19. Picks below are limited to items with at least a decent size selection at post time, unless otherwise noted.
Slub merino wool (so an extra bit of texture), suede elbow patches, and made in their noticeably slimmer cut. Nice over a button down or extra casual with a t-shirt. Cheaper price is good on two shades of blue, including that deep navy.
A softer construction than most wintery wool sportcoats. Windowpane pattern. Sizes are a bit scattered at post time, and these might move faster than other items in the sale? Doesn’t appear to be final sale either.
Slim fit, same rustic merino as the other slub rustic merino sweaters, and this one has shoulder buttons inspired by “chandail” fisherman’s sweaters of yore. Yes. Yore. A yoreish detail in fact. The necks on the originals used to button up super high and tight, in order to keep the wind and rain out. The buttons were there to allow the wearer to get the thing on.
But you gotta be good with the color of the sole. And at seventy five bucks, there are going to be more than a few who are going to be a-okay with it. These are final sale though. Final sale shoes = always more of a risk.
Pffft. Well, it’s out of season, but that’s a hell of a price. Derby Party? Summer wedding? Lots of sizes, but do note that the pants are in their SLIM cut. So if you’ve got some thunderous thighs, you’ll have a tough time getting in the things.
Knit from heavier gauge lambswool yarn and another option in their slimmer cut. Most lambswool sweaters run kinda bulky, no matter the retailer. It’s a thicker fabric, and usually they’re made in a more traditional fit. Not these. Both the V and the Crew have a few basic colors available at the cheaper $19.99 price point.
Not as flashy of fabric, but you gotta be good with elbow patches. Also half lined, but Moon Mills fabric can run a little heavier/stiffer (even though word is this year’s Moon mills sportcoats are lighter-weight compared to last winter. Lotta sizes. Doesn’t appear to be final sale.
A lot like a two-toned hooded sweatshirt, only they ditched the hood and replaced the cotton body with lambswool. So, it’s actually nothing like a two-toned hooded sweatshirt. Also available in the blue-ish “heather baltic”.
Weird. Tons of sizes and three colors… yet no jackets to match. 3-ply Italian wool created to be wrinkle resistant. Should make for a nice pair of trousers all on their own.
J. Crew took a crack at home goods with these. They’re actually pretty nice. Solid without being brick heavy, and can make a good place to throw your keys/loose change/etc. Not a bad way to hold a candle or a bit of incense either.
Cheap. Warm. Something to have around the house/apartment for those weirdly cold days.
Goodyear welted, just like the suedes. Has that red/pinkish sole… just like the suedes. Barely on sale pre-code, so wondering if they’ll drop further in sale price, and then future codes will knock them down under a hundred bucks? In person review of the black leather option can be found over here. Doesn’t appear to be final sale.
Might be a decent opportunity for those of us who haven’t tried J. Crew jeans to dip our toe in those denim waters. Straight through the hip and thigh with a 16.5″ leg opening (based off a 32×32). Doesn’t look like they’re final sale either.
The Extra 50% off Sale items code 24HOURS expires today, 1/19/15.
The Huck team is off on vacation. Which means their big winter clearance is very…
Brooks Brothers starts their winter clearance with an additional 25% off sale items.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
