What’s Dappered Threads? It’s our forum. Launched in 2011, Threads has become a not too big, not too small, just-right-sized forum that doesn’t put up with snobbery. All thanks to the users and hardworking mods. Once a month, one of the mods from Threads provides us with a highlight package of the last few weeks.
This week’s challenge asked readers to dress in what they would wear (or have worn) to a holiday party. Dappered readers showcased a wide range of outfits from laid-back/casual, to smart casual, to formal. Alan claimed the victory with a navy pinstripe suit from Oxxford Clothes, paired with a crisp white Roundtree & Yorke Gold Label shirt, festive bow-tie, red knot cuff links, Allen Edmond shoes, and Daniel Cremieux belt. A: Yes. Especially if you’re wearing them without socks. The cedar will help maintain the shoes shape while removing excess moisture.Q: What do you call this type of patterning? It’s like.. same colour mini-stripes?
A: I’d call that fabric self stripe, some people call “shadow stripe” a pattern with a darker thin stripe along the edge of the other stripes, like a shadow (hence the name).Q: Can someone identify the gloves and watch in the 12 Days of Dappered: Money Clip post?
