What’s Dappered Threads? It’s our forum. Launched in 2011, Threads has become a not too big, not too small, just-right-sized forum that doesn’t put up with snobbery. All thanks to the users and hardworking mods. Once a month, one of the mods from Threads provides us with a highlight package of the last few weeks.
Simplicity is often overlooked for flashy patterns, bright colors, and intricate accessories. Sure, there’s a place for the latter, but there’s also something sophisticated and elegant about proper classic style. This Friday Challenge asked Dappered readers to showcase their most impeccable low key outfit. In the end, Shomas won the voting with a well fitted 80/20 JCF suit, Ratio white oxford, chambray tie, Invicta watch, and classic black Allen Edmond Park Avenues. We’ve all undoubtedly experienced discouraging ring stains staring back at us from the inside of our favorite shirt collar. How have Threads users conquered this battle? Many seem to have had success soaking their shirts in an OxiClean solution while others tend to prefer Shout Advanced spray and baking soda methods. More great tips can be found over here.

“If I am trying to buy clothes that maintain shape and color for as long as possible I usually try avoiding synthetic blend materials in my clothing. I also cold machine wash and hang dry my good shirts and pants (that are 100% cotton). I’ll also hand wash delicate sweaters and also air dry them.” -william
