Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
So, it’s an extra 30% off sale items, but it looks like it’s all final sale. Yes. Final. No returns. 365 days or not, you buy something at this juncture you’re not returning it. Ever. That’s quite a change of policy for Bonobos. There’s risk here. Big risk. So tread extra careful as the prices go up. That double breasted topcoat is a major steal at $243.60, but if it doesn’t fit, you’re kinda screwed. Size shown above is a 38. Safest play is probably the slim merino sweaters. Be careful out there.
Lucky you if you’re a 10 or 10.5… and like Suede. The Goodyear Welted Hutchins Boot in chocolate suede is a bargain at $139.99, but those two sizes are the only ones available at post time. The Tan and Black Calfskin options are hovering just under $200 with plenty more sizes available.
Bah. $174 for Iron Rangers… yet they’re Final Sale. Well hell. A decent size selection at post time, but it’s starting to get whittled down. Meanwhile, there’s hardly a safer but still high-end play than that cashmere scarf. Also final sale, but no need to worry about whether or not it’s gonna fit. Three different color combinations to pick from, with a blue/grey option that’s pretty toned down for the types who like to keep it subtle. Note: Mod Extraordinaire Greg_S suggests sizing down in the boots by a half size in the comments.
Yes, it’s one of those flash sale sites. So you’ll either have to already be a member, or, hand over an email to get in. And sizes are all over the place. Some of the more affordable brands included in this event would be Calvin Klein, Joseph Abboud, and Ben Sherman. There do seem to be a lot of the fuller cut Brooks Brothers “Madison” fit suits. Kinda disappointing. So if you’re in doubt, maybe take a pass on this one.
Further reductions on those Fifth Streets. Were recently $275, now under $250. The more casual, pebble-grain, Danite sole Promontory Point boots are still hanging out around $200. Thinkin’ those might be a one-and-done (season) design?
There are limited exclusions here, and surprisingly, their blazers are in play. So if you happen to have a Banana Republic/Gap/Old Navy card, and you’ve had your eye on something, this isn’t a bad time to drop back in and give it another look. Word on that navy “sateen” blazer is that there’s little if any shine to it. Just super smooth. Code expires today, 1/16.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
Style choices to make for those times when how you're perceived is critical.
Timex grows into a solid, grown-up dive watch design.
