Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
Suitsupply: Outlet getting more stock? Use EARLYACCESS
The Picks: Sienna Grey Stripe Super 130s – $339 ($639), Napoli Blue Linen – $259 ($469), Washington Beige Herringbone Cotton Blazer – $99 ($399)
This is wild. Navigating the outlet site is a bit of a chore since they ask you to input your size (hint: you can pick up to three sizes to see more stock) for each category, and direct linking to each item here seems to be impossible… but it’s worth taking another spin through since stock seems to be fluctuating. They launched this thing earlier in the week and each day there seems to be a couple new styles added. But remember, it’s an outlet, so some of the goods will be a little strange (like green velvet strange). Might want to read this first. Good luck to you and your wallet.
J. Crew: Extra 40% of Sale items w/ STYLETIME
The Picks: Pima Cotton Ticket Pocket Herringbone Sportcoat – $220.80 ($368), Wallace & Barnes Skiff Jacket – $136.80 ($248) Ludlow Light Grey Suit Jacket & Slim or Regular Fit Pant – $269.99 ($650), Prince of Wales Check Wool Flannel Pant – $89.99 ($225)
J. Crew’s new reality seems to be one one code stops, another one starts up. The day after the latest minimum spend code ends, this extra 40% off sale items kicks off. The Pima Cotton blazer seems expensive, even with the code, but it honestly feels like a super fine wool to the touch. Plus, you get the ticket pocket.
LastCall: Extra 40% off One Item & Free shipping w/ FRSHIP
The Picks: Magnanni Cap Toe Oxford – $179.40 ($299), Magnanni Suede Oxford – $167.40 ($279), Neiman Marcus Glen Plaid Cashmere Scarf – $66.00 ($110), N.M. Reversible Cashmere Beanie – $39.00 ($65)
The extra 40% off only happens on one item, but you can go with something small and still get free shipping, no mimum, with the code FRSHIP. Big fan of the colors in that cashmere scarf. Expires today, 11/14.
Bonobos: New sale items + 25% off $150+ w/ SCOREBIG25
The Pick: Washed Chino Blazer in Burgundy – $148.00 ($198)
Yes indeed. Burgundy. Now under $150 with the ninja service you always get. An extra 20% off sale items code would sure be nice. Maybe one will show up in the next week or so? UPDATE: And a code did show this morning. Many thanks to Ryan N. for the heads up about the 25% off $150+ w/ SCOREBIG25. You’ll need something small (which can be tough to find on Bonobos) to tip the balance on the blazer of course.
Hugh & Crye: 35% off almost everything w/ FIRSTDIBS35
The Picks: Wool/Poly Charcoal Plaid – $159.25 ($245), 100% Wool Navy Hopsack – $159.25 ($245)
Oof. That seems like a plenty fair price if they look as good in person as they do online. Many thanks to Jonathan for the tip!
BONUS Amazon: 30% off $100+ Select Shoes Sold by Amazon w/ 30SHOES1
The Picks: Neumora Double Monk – $181.13 ($345), Allen Edmonds Mora 2.0 Double Monk – $241.50
($345), Dalton Boot – $274.24
($395)
Not quite sure how this works. You might need an Amazon account (which you’d think most of us do) and to be signed in to use it. It’s a one per person code, so use it wisely. Outstanding price on the Neumora. Full review here. Also… Amazon does have a few sizes in the no-chisel Mora 2.0, and the code drops the price nicely to the mid $200s (which was just debated the other day). Going to dig around in this sale a little more later on. Code expires Monday, 11/18. Many thanks to David C. in the comments!
Also worth a mention
- Maxton Men: Extra 20% off sale items with EXTRA20
- Piperlime: 25% off all boots w/ BOOT. Including Red Wings like this one. Expires today.
- J. Crew Factory: 30% off everything with BIGSALE & free shipping at $75.
- Club Monaco: Select sweaters are 30% off w/ COZY30.
- Gilt
: They’re running a Walk-Over (made in the USA) shoes sale.
maybe worth a mention. Amazon is offering 30% off 100.00 or more (code 30shoes1). i picked up 2 pairs of AE Daltons for 550.00. thats not bad. prime shipping and returns. One-time-use code.
I picked up those Magnanni Oxford Cap Toes last weekend. They are the real deal. I wish Magnanni made more shoes with a classic shape.
I wear a 38 Napoli and a 40 Sienna. Anyone have an idea where the Sevilla fit falls between those two other mentioned suit supply cuts? Some of the Sevilla suits they’ve posted seem like a solid deal if I can get the size right.
Bonobos 25% sitewide off $150+ makes that blazer $111 with filler!
Code: SCOREBIG25
How was the sizing? Were they TTS?
Yep True To Size. I wear a 10D in AE Strands and these were spot on. Not too narrow either.
Amazon’s also offering 30% off $100+ on watches. During checkout, apply coupon code 30OFFNOV for the discount.
Of course when this is going on they don’t have the Iron Rangers I’m after in wide 😐
Edit- d’oh, missed the Piperlime code
Not all of us can pull off green velvet (thankfully, I can and love it, haha)…but man, they picked the wrong model for that photo…they guy looks like, “quick, get me out of this and give me my paycheck!”
The nice thing about SuitSupply is that they post actual measurements for every product line, so you can directly compare each measurement between different lines. (Click on ‘Fit’ then ‘Size Advisor’, it’s the second tab)
Is this from an email? The code doesn’t work on the shoes I’ve placed in my cart.
Just ordered the same Magnanni’s last night, 10 also. Can’t wait to get ’em.
Yeah, I find them just a bit too pointy, I wish they were a bit more rounded without being bulbous. A number of the Italian brands are borderline (e.g. testoni), and it depends on the particular shoe.
Is that Suit Supply outlet link working? I get redirected to http://us.suitsupply.com/en_US/home.
Wonder if that’s my ludlow 40L I returned…I wound up swimming in it for some reason.
Thanks for the heads up.
Nice. Thanks David! Updated above. Looks like Amazon has a few of the Mora 2.0 in bourbon available for this sale.
Pulled the trigger on that Sevilla Grey Stripe. Had already paid before I realized that this is the first suit I’ve ever bought on my own dime. Today I am a man, you guys.
My credit card flagged the transaction with suitsupply, but it went through, so I got the privilege of being parted with my $275.
The Allen Edmonds site is running a $50 or $100 off boots. The Dalton is, sadly, not included. Most are $50 off, but Promontory Point (football leather cap toe), Sun Valley (yuck!), and Haight (plain medallion toe chelsea) are $100 off. Worth a check maybe.
Ditto. Reading around on the likes of slickdeals, people seem to think that each code has a limited # of redemptions and isn’t universally active.
Suitsupply’s Roma fit has me baffled- does a size 40 in Copenhagen really equate to a 34 in Roma? That’s insane!
Working for me?
I was ready to grab that sharp Sevilla pinstripe but spoke to a rep online who mentioned it is fused, unlike the Napoli/Lasio/Sienna. For the difference in price I may wait to see if a Napoli slides into the outlet.
Ah, thanks. It’s probably not working for me because I am on my company’s intranet (in the US, though). It worked through a proxy service.
Always so hard to access Club Monaco’s website from Canada.
J Crew light grey Ludlow jacket only left in 40L currently.
Does Bonobos allow deal stacking? Wondering if the SCOREBIG25 will work with the introductory 20% off for first time orders…
Also, does anyone have a review of their slim straight fit? Is it comparable to Alpha khakis? Looser? Tighter? thanks!
I haven’t been able to get the size advisor to open on the suitsupply website – it just opens a blank white pop-up. Anyone else have issues like this? I’ve tried on four different computers/tablets, as well as using different browsers and same for each. When I’ve tried to open in a separate window or tab it shows up as an invalid URL. What gives?
Anyone bite on that blue linen suit today or in the past. Just wondering how the Napoli worked for others and what the quality was like overall. Looks awfully sharp for next summer’s use.
One of the restrictions is that it has to be purchased through Amazon, so filter on “seller” to get the list of eligible shoes.
Yeah, just found this out as well and backed off from purchasing the Sevilla. I’m sure it is a solid suit as far as fused goes, but after some bad puckering in past fused suits, I’m sticking with canvased in the future.
Some nice looking London’s keep popping up from time to time, but I’m not sure how I feel about the padded shoulder description.
This question is relevant to my interests as well…
The Napoli fit me like a glove, and seems to be constructed better and fits me better off the rack in a 38R than a much more expensive MTM suit that I own. I literally could have walked out the store with the jacket with no tailoring necessary (your results may very, obviously). If I could get away with a linen suit at the office, I would have picked up the blue linen Napoli in a heart beat.
OK Question… Im not in a need of a suit right now, although Im interested in Suit Supply products & quality. Do they have sales often?
Sales RARELY happen. That was until the outlet site opened up to the US market. There are deals to be had. I’ve got a few Washington jackets/suits. They fit me otr without alteration.
I’ve really considered that linen suit, but the napoli didn’t fit me well. Needed a 38L jacket with a 40L’s accompanying pants. That wasn’t an option. Plus, the Napoli was going to need some pretty major tailoring to fit properly in the chest/torso. (6’4″, 180lbs)
What’s the best SuitSupply fit for Big guys? Some of their fits seem crazy “tailored” while comparing measurements.
This is through the Allen Edmonds site (and I suppose in store as well), not the Amazon sale.
ohh, gotcha. Misread your original post!
This code is also working on Red Wings, in case you missed the Piperlime deal (or realized that they refuse to carry wide sizes and you almost curled up and cried when you had to choose between $170 Red Wings and having functioning feet without irreversible soft tissue damage, to the point where you asked your doctor girlfriend if it’s possible to induce size-D feet surgically).
Yes, had the same issue in Chrome – tried using Internet Explorer too and had the same thing. Had to cross my fingers and buy the 40.
I went crazy at the Suitsupply Outlet. 2 suits, 4 jackets. I love how it’s free shipping and free returns, just in case things don’t quite fit or look differently in person. Solid company, great business.
Had that issue. Neumoras don’t get a discount on my end
Personally I love the London; the padding is only noteworthy compared to the extremely mild padding on the other jackets. I have a Lazio and a London, and the London might be 25% more “structured”-feeling; it’s hardly a department store-variety horror.
How is the Suitsupply’s return process? Is there anything out of ordinary and has anyone had a bad experience particularly?
I ordered a few and may as well return some, but I do hear that their refund processing time is not the quickest around the block -something like 7-10 business days after you send back to get registered to their warehouses and another 7-10 business days for the refund to get issued. I also read a few anecdotes of some folks having hard time getting their refund back.
I find their customer service often not that good -definitely not as good as Bonobos, J.Crew or the most of places I dealt with-, so I may consider bringing the returns to their store instead to avoid any potential headache.
They have a pretty good fit guide on the website. Napoli is more fitted. Roma more traditional (but still slimmer than you typical department store suit)
Odd, considering they’re Canadian…
anyone tried their coats? what would I wear if I am a 38? small or medium?
Thanks. I’m in the process of finally replacing several department store-variety horror suits that are wearing out, so your comment helped quite a bit. I pulled the trigger on a London light grey stripe that they just posted on the outlet today.
Let me correct myself. It’s hard to access the website from the province of Quebec.
Damned Quebecers… Always getting excluded from everything
