Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
The Picks: LEC Straight Fit Moleskin Pants – $27.99 ($70), LEC Plaid Wool Bomber – $90.99 ($250), Straight Fit Donnegal Pants – $41.99 ($99)
Lands’ End has really turned the code tap down to a dribble. 30% off almost everything (3rd party stuff like Allen Edmonds / Oak Street Bootmakers don’t get the nod) isn’t bad. Those red moleskin pants from last season are still hanging around in plenty of sizes. As is that plaid wool bomber. The donnegal pants? Also already on sale.
The Picks: Rafe Boston Work Bag – $139 ($269), Wally Briefcase – $179 ($329)
While usually “imported”, “Property of…” goods are usually solid quality wrapped in some eye catching designs. Mike from Cool Material just included a Property Of… bag in his 5 favorites. When they dip into the mid $100s like this, then they’re worth a good strong look. A warning: these are through Gilt, so you have to be a “member” and the return policy is super strict. Read: for store credit only. Also on Gilt and worth considering, this Turnpike Brief from Jack Spade for $195. Yahtzee.
The Picks: Polo Chelsea Boot – $148.50 ($198), Suede Jodhpur Boot – $148.50 ($198)
Been awhile Ralph. Their website since late summer has been nothing but tumbleweeds. A few new fall arrivals have shown up, and these boots are now firmly on the radar. “Imported”, but they sure look good on screen, and the view from the sole shows stitching. Code is good through Wed. 10/3.
The Combo Picks:
This gets a little complicated. Two separate sales here, that can be combined for pretty good results. This batch of select items (“Fall Essentials”) have been marked down by 40%. Sadly, no blazers in there. But, the tiered code SEPTSAVE gets you 30% off $200, 20% off $125, and 10% off $75. So, a blazer and a 40% off lambswool crew trips that extra 30% off. Not bad. Pick all Fall Essentials and you bump your % up nice and high.
The Picks: Estate Chukkas in Suede or Leather(?) or Navy – $30.00 ($39.99)

Also worth a mention: Banana Republic is offering 35% off $150+ and 40% off $200+ w/ BRMORE. There’s a couple black thin briefcases going for $345 – $355 (25% off) in the Dave’s Deals section of Saddleback’s website. GAP launched the latest collaboration with GQ collection earlier this week. Nordstrom just marked down the classic Red Wing moc-toe boot in russet, now going for $150 instead of $250.
