Orient Flight – $206.50 w/ dappered30 ($295)
That code is good for 30% off, and also gets you the Orient “freebie” package, which includes a quartz watch of Orient’s choosing and a lanyard. Thanks to Orient for providing a new code.
UPDATE: Heads up. These are going for $149 on Amazon but not sold or fulfilled by Amazon. No experience with that 3rd party retailer. Many thanks to Samuel for the note in the comments.
Some have a thing for bright blue eyes, and some have a thing for blue dial watches. And Orient nailed it with this darker but still noticeably blue shade on their new aviation-inspired pilot watch.
The “Flight” automatic isn’t limited to a blue dial either. Five total variations include three other face shades (green, black, and cream) and all have a few styling cues you’d expect on an aviation inspired watch. There’s the triangle at 12 o’clock, the dominance of the minutes instead of the hours on the face, and the instrument panel style luminescent hands & numerals. At center is the Orient logo. Their coat of arms jumps nicely against the blue background. Has to be one of the more interesting looking logos out there.
There’s no flieger rivets on this one, but the strap is noticeably thicker. The in-house automatic movement and brushed, stainless steel case are light on the wrist. Orient says this one has the standard around 40-hr power reserve when fully wound.
The water resistance of 100m is solid, there’s a screw down crown, and while it doesn’t hack or have a sapphire crystal (mineral here) it feels like another well put together Orient automatic.
42mm in diameter that wears about that size if not a bit larger. No rotating bezel or exhibition caseback. So it doesn’t have a ton of bells & whistles, but it’s a looker and then some. Pilot watch inspired for sure, but it’s not trying to look like it just landed at an airshow.
Enter here to win the blue-dial Flight seen above. One entry per person. Deadline for entry is 11:59 pm ET 8/28/13. Thanks as always to Orient for providing the watch.
UPDATE: Congrats to Brandon B. who won the Orient Flight Automatic!
Beautiful Watch. Good luck all!
Great looking face. Is the strap as cheap as it appears in the picture?
I like it. That’s the kind of watch I would wear on a daily basis.
That is a great looking watch. The blue on the face is great against the strap. 300 retail doe..
Hmmm . . . to go with the blue dial or the black dial?
Most Fliegers are much bigger than this which doesn’t work with my 6.5″ wrists. But 40-42 mm is right around my sweet spot so this should work out fine.
I like the watch, but what are those shoes?
does that code work on any watch they sell? and how long is it valid?
not a bad looking watch. I wouldn’t mind winning it. Especially because my previous blue-faced watch kicked the bucket on me.
Ah. The Cole Haan Jayhawker from last winter: https://dappered.com/2012/12/most-wanted-affordable-style-december-2012/ Picked em’ up when they were down to $85. Love the things.
A white dial would be perfect…
Liking the blue face
Yep. How long? Awhile I’d think. No end date as of yet.
$149 on amazon though.
Whoa! These were new enough that I didn’t think they were that far spread yet. Interesting. That’s a steal. 3rd party though and Amazon doesn’t fulfill. Interesting. Updated above. Thanks Samuel.
that’s very nice
It’s even cheaper if you go straight to their website – $145 for the black dial and $137 for the blue dial.

Oooohhh that’s Purdy… I’d wear that one daily.
That is a nice watch. Phenomenal Give away. Good luck everyone.
Great looking casual watch. I would to get this as replacement for my current everyday watch, which despite being a chrono doesn’t have a day function on it. Not sure how I missed that when I picked it out. I love my watch, but I would really like to know the day without having to whip out my cell phone.
blue and brown make a nice combination
looks great
the price on these is better too
Just a random tidbit, but today’s Orient newsletter has a link to this post/giveaway here!
Nice Watch!! Great Quality and style! Good Luck all
these are absolutely gorgeous. looks much better than the seiko variant
Congrats Brandon
