The Eliminator – Five from Huckberry
Here’s how this works: Each day we’ll eliminate an item until only one remains. Vote for the item you’d LEAST like to own at the bottom of the page. The item with the most votes gets ejected at the end of the day. The item that remains at the end of this battle royal will be won by one of you with an enter to win post firing off on Friday.
About Huckberry: It’s not easy to stand out in the world of flash sale websites, but Huckberry does it. With an emphasis on the outdoors and active lifestyle gear, they nail the upscale-rugged thing. Also, their sales are often filled with made in the USA goods. All of these items are currently available, or have been available through Huckberry at some point. May the best item win!

Tellason Made in the USA White Oak Selvage Jeans – $220.00
Tough as nails American made denim. White Oak blue line raw selvage that’s cut and sewn in San Francisco. Even the leather patch is from Portland’s Tanner Goods. Available in Slim Straight or Straight Leg fits, and 12.5 oz or ultra-substantial 16.5 oz. Order a size down and let the jeans conform to your body over time. Find out more about Tellason here.
ELIMINATED – Nisolo Chavito Suede Chukka – $124.00
Born from a micro-finance organization, Nisolo shoes are handcrafted in Peru by a small group of shoemakers. This small brand is sustaining over 30 jobs in Peru, and over the last year and a half they’ve “increased income levels of our artisans by up to 500%“. The Chavito has a lighter-tan suede upper, is lined in sheepskin, and has a rubber outsole. With more eyelets than a desert boot, it laces up securely to your foot. One of ten models in their men’s collection. Great looks, good conscience.
ELIMINATED – Jacob Bromwell Great American Copper Flask – $199.99
Pegs the needle on the “this is something” scale. A work of art with a 9 oz capacity. Hand made in the USA from pure copper. Comes with an authentic birch wood stopper, as well as a leak-free cork stopper (y’know, in case you take it for a jog?). Constructed with historically accurate techniques yet still corrosion resistant and FDA approved. Made to be used.
ELIMINATED – Two Lumina Button Downs of your choice – $168
Tapered through the waist, high armholes, made in the USA. Casual shirts that don’t punt on a more precise fit, thanks to their half sizing system (small, small+, medium, medium+, etc). Pleated on the back so they move with instead of against you. Nicely sized collars that won’t pull a disappearing act under a sportcoat or blazer.
Palmer Trading Company Brimfield Waxed Duffle – $174.98
100% cotton twill exterior and moccasin leather handles and straps. Not a hard sided duffle, so you can smash it into an overhead bin or cram it into an overcrowded trunk if need be. On the smaller side with dimensions of 18″ x 8″ x 7″. Nickel hardware. Made in New England. $174.98 is the Huckberry Price. Retail for this thing in the Palmer Trading Company New York shop is $190.
Here comes the tough part. Pick the item that you’d LEAST like to win and vote below to have it eliminated. This is where it gets crucial. The item that’s left after today will be up to win starting tomorrow in a random drawing giveaway. Vote for the item you’d least like to win, and thus, eliminate from competition. Make your case for what needs to stay in the comments. If you would please, keep those comments positive. All of these items are tremendous, and huge thanks to their makers for offering them up in The Eliminator. Voting closes at 11:59pm ET.

finally, we can get rid of the duffle. lets go jeans!
Duffel must die.
What?! No tiny duffel? How am I going to carry my burrito?
Thanks, Matt. Now I want a burrito-sized duffle bag and Chipotle.
yeah there really needs to be another object in the photo for scale
I think the duffle is a nice piece of kit, but those selvage jeans look awesome, and make in Murica™
I found one: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4Sb2GNqR55w/UYJfdVc3q_I/AAAAAAAAAD0/_app3ou008M/w585-h428-p-o/duffle.png
cursed bag!
The pockets on those jeans are bigger than the duffel.
On a side note: I love this site! It always feels as though there is a small community of well dressed, down to earth guys on here and it isn’t until I see the hundreds (sometimes thousands) that participate in polls that I realize there are many of us. If I could chest bump all of you, I would.
I can’t believe we eliminated the shirts instead of the duffle. One item, whose only use is to carry something (and small, at that) versus shirts for multiple occasions and scenarios. Sigh.
Let’s go jeans!
Even in black and white, the shirts still look better than the purse. Father, forgive them, for they know not how they vote…
I’ll stick with the duffle if not only for the fact that I cant justify spending $220 on jeans when there is american made denim out there in the $100 range
I wonder if you noticed the distressingly-small size of that duffel. It could basically hold three or four bottles of Coke, and not a heck of a lot else.
jeans must die!
How about WINNING $220 on jeans?
That could cause some serious bruising.

I didn’t notice that at all! Only 1000 cu in or so. That’s ridiculously small.
World’s tiniest duffle/man-purse (it’s not a purse, it’s a satchel!) is on it’s way out!
This was EPIC. 🙂
I don’t lust after bags for some reason – its just a bag.
Keep the jeans. You all should already have the Weekender bag from Bespoke Post anyway.
That duffle is pretty freaking small. Anyone who’s voting for that thing–get out a ruler and see for yourself what it will look like. 18x8x7? Tiny! (No dispute that it looks amazing, just saying that it’s pretty small.) By comparison, I’ve got a Tellason denim jacket that I bought through Huckberry, and it’s one of the nicest things I own. The jeans are definitely the must-have piece here.
That bag is just too nice to lose
Jeans. All. The. Way!
Have plenty of jeans, but the jeans seem like a better giveaway to me.
This is getting a lot closer than I expected it to be…
Keep the Tellasons. No question.
I honestly can’t imagine a pair of jeans TRULY being worth that kind of dough; had to vote it out.
Joe is going to keep the jeans for himself as revenge for the flask’s early exit.
WE WANT THE JEANS, MAN!
Pretty disappointed the button downs were voted out. I have to say that the duffle bag just looks absolutely horrendous.
Duffle please, rather have the jeans.
I’m surprised people liked the shirts at all. Very small pattern selection and no details about sizing, just arbitrary half sizes. Their MSRP are the same as Ratio Clothing sale prices but they have a decent selection of patterns, styles, and real measurements.
Where is the “reinstate the flask” option?
Still a little room left over for “fixins”.
haha perfect
