Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend, or sometimes, a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
.
The Picks: Seacoast Cotton Crew – $66.60 ($74), Cashmere Turtleneck – $89.99 ($189), Italian Tweed Herringbone Sportcoat – $179.10 ($245)
The code is good for brand new stuff like the Cotton Crew, as well as stuff that’s already on sale like the cashmere turtleneck. Not the cheapest stuff in the world, but L.L. Bean & Signature are known for tough goods.
The Pick: Thompson Chino Suit Jacket – $103.60 ($148)
J. Crew Factory has been known to jack prices around a little bit, but what’s happened with the new Thompson Chino suit separates is a little disappointing. They started out at $128 retail. That has since jumped up to $148. Extra 30% off site wide drops them down to the just a nudge over $100 mark, which seems to be where these have bottomed out so far in 2013. Ships free at least since it is, in fact, just over $100. Flat rate shipping of $4.95 is nice and low for everything else. Code XOFACTORY expires 2/17.
The Picks: Thomas Dean Polished Chukka – $249.90 ($340), CH Nubuck Driver – $99.90 ($148)
It’s a true clearance, so sizes are all over the friggin’ map. But Nordstrom does give you the ability to sort by size, so, might be worth heading over for a quick glance. Shipping is free both ways too, so you’re not on the hook for returns. Chukkas are made in Italy and come with a shoe horn. That’s kinda like getting a set of knives when you take out a mortgage?
The Picks: Chalk Stripe Suit Jacket & Pants – $155.98 $191.98 total, dark seersucker check blazer – $87.99
The lapels look crazy skinny, but $155 (UPDATE: Looks like they possibly moved the price of the jacket up overnight? Thanks to Dennis L. in the comments for the catch) for an all wool suit with a decently modern cut? Not bad. Kenneth Cole suits are fused, but the key is to stick with KCNY instead of REACTION. Those Reaction suits are poly.
Most of you know how these massive Gilt events can go. They can either be great, or they can be awful. Noon ET is when these things launch, and you’re going to want to be quick with sorting by size. Seems to be a bit of an end of season clearance/blowout, so sizes might be scattered far and wide.
Also worth a mention: FAB has a sale ending this morning that lets new Bespoke Post customers get boxes of awesome for $38 instead of $45 (hat tip to John H. for the heads up). Maxton Men is offering 20% off their sale items, including the Wheelmen & Co Babylon Backpack (full review here), with the code 20MORE. Bloomingdale’s has launched a Big Brown Bag sale, and just in case you want to send a 3-grand gift this way… Also, Banana Republic is once again doing an additional 25% off sale items with the code BREXTRA25. Meanwhile, purchases north of $150 can have 30% taken off with BRTAKE30.
The Huck team is off on vacation. Which means their big winter clearance is very…
Brooks Brothers starts their winter clearance with an additional 25% off sale items.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
