Shoe of the year?

Looks like they’re on the same trim silhouette as their previous oxfords. They do have that standard Mercanti Fiorentini slight chisel toe, but it’s really not all that noticeable in person. True-oxford closed lacing, brogue perforation details, and they’re made in Italy. Quality is much better than the low $100s price tag, and even though they’re glued, they should hold up well with reasonable care. Also available in black. A stand alone combination of great looks and decent quality in the under $125 dress shoe category.
Definitely look like they are worth trying out.
Tempting but do you think they’ll do something for Black Friday?
The one pair of Fiorentini’s I own get compliments like crazy, and the first question is always “How much did you pay for those?”.
For $115, these look like incredible value.
If not for the chisel toe, I’d be all over them.
Will they do something? Possibly. Will they do something BETTER? I wouldn’t risk it. If that’s your only concern, though, you can order these and sit on them until you find out what the BF sales are going to look like. You’ll still have plenty of time to return them if you find something better since BF is so close now.
I just laughed out loud when I clicked the link to the Gladiator Sandal above. That one deserves an “Offered without Comment” unto itself.
What’s the sizing on these? I usually wear 11.5D in AE Park Avenues & 5th Avenues. What’d be a similar sizing for these?
Not with the square toe
Dont get the uproar over the chisel toe. These look like nice shoes. Perfectly round toe shoes not my cup of tea. A little too staid for me. For example, while I respect the quality of AE, I generally don’t like the shape. Too bulky and round for me. If Berlutti embraces the chisel toe, I fail to understand why I should not.
haha jesus I didnt even see that until your comment
glued??? Made in Italy and glued?
Hold onto your butt Jake. It’s a brave new world. They hold up real well too.
Just received these in the mail. I’ve ordered and returned a lot of shoes from Nordstrom ranging from $175-$450 looking for a nice, slim dress shoe over the past year and I knew I was keeping these as soon as I tried them on. Comfortable and appear well built for this type and price of shoe. Similar price to ALDO and unquestionably much better quality.
I have in the past been anti-chiseled toe for many Magnanni shoes, but these come off looking much better.
Does anyone have any other brand recommendations for slim mens dress shoes that can be found online? Price is not really the issue, but I have ended up purchasing ALDO’s multiple times knowing they wouldn’t last long only because I liked the slim design so much and have received many more compliments on those than any much more expensive shoes I’ve worn.
