Sales that deserve some attention when heading into the weekend. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up the Friday Handful. Expect these things when necessary. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
Note: The Brooks Brothers 25% off site wide Friends & Family Sale starts tomorrow, so the handful is happening a day early this week.

The Pick: T2N653 black dial with red and grey slip thru strap – $17.00 ($30 – $40)
After the last few months of nothing but discount offers for massages, yoga classes, and colonics (and wouldn’t that be one hell of a Saturday), Groupon comes through. Seventeen bucks gets you one of six watches (2 unisex, 3 men’s, 1 women’s) from the Timex Weekender collection, and shipping is free. That’s way cheaper than even running over to target and getting one on sale. Full credit to Ryan N. for sending in the style tip on this one.
The Pick: Orient Aviator Blue Dial – $128.67
Meanwhile over at Amazon, there’s a very ho-hum watch clearance event going on. The absolute highlight is the small selection of Orient watches that have been marked down
The Pick: Architect’s Wallet – $80.95 ($100)
Form Function Form is off to Chicago to visit the Horween tannery. Figure out what year Horween was founded in, hammer that year into the promo code box at checkout, and you’ll get 19.05% off your purchase. Gee whiz, I do wonder if the discount has ANYTHING to do with the answer? Discount can only be applied to stock on hand, and they’ll make the orders once they get back.

The Picks: Vintage Shoe Company – $139.30 ($300), Sebago Suede – $97.30 ($180), BOSS – $167.30 ($295)
A boot for almost any preference. The Vintage Shoe Company “Hammond” is made in the USA, runs $300, and is cut way down to $140 with the extra 30% off code FRIEND. The Sebago Suede Chelsea is now under $100, and that Hugo Boss wingtip looks awfully sharp from above. All of these ship free with code LCSEP75 (free shipping $75+).
The Pick: Westmoore Corduroy Blazer in “Duke” – $95.00
It is very hard not to like a good corduroy blazer. Even harder to not like one that’s under $100. The Modasuite powered Frank & Oak might have another winner here. Slim fit, comes in actual chest sizes, horn buttons, and the jacket seems short, but not outrageously chopped. This is as close to velvet as many of us (but not all) want to get, and a navy cord blazer is ridiculously easy to wear with jeans. Not a lot of cheaper options out there right now. INC’s looks to be over-done with extra lines of stitching at the lapel and pockets (wish they’d stop doing that) and the American Rag blazer only comes in black. F&O shipping is a flat $6 rate to the US and Canada (Hawaii, Alaska, and NW Territories excluded). Returns are for store credit, so, this is hardly risk free. It’s a membership type of site, so you have to join up. More on Frank & Oak from Sabir over at Men’s Style Pro.
UPDATE: What appears to be the exact same blazer is going for $50 right here, only it’s called “navy” instead of “duke”, and there’s one in a chestnut color as well for fifty bucks instead of $95. The URLs are different, but the pics are the same. All of this has been pointed out by Redford in the comments, so hat tip to him. Meanwhile, Frank & Oak membership appears to be full according to reader jtl. So… you’ve got a membership site who’s actually limiting their membership numbers, and selling the same blazer at two very different price points. Anyone else confused? Thanks again to Redford for the tip.
UPDATE II: Got an email from the Frank & Oak people. You have to be a member of their subscription “Hunt Club” service to get the blazer for $50. And you’re not officially a member until your order a crate from them (the crux of the service.) So… there you go. I think. Maybe.
Also worth a mention: Banana Republic is doing 25% off regular priced items and an extra 30% off already reduced items. The sale section is pretty mneh right now, but that drops two colors of their 80% wool / 20% nylon elbow patch crew down to $42 shipped.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
With a focus on holiday events. It's their last sale before their shipping cutoff.
