The summer clearance avalanche (sandstorm?) continues. Usually these handfuls get turned loose on a Friday, but the week starts with one this time due to some timing (vacation day / sale launch). Five of the better sales on now, one for each finger, are below. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
.
Bonobos
: Summer Sale Up to 40% Off

The Pick: Bonobos High Tides 5″ Khaki Trunks – $45.50 ($65)
Swim trunks aren’t cheap, and with the free and fast shipping (and returns if you don’t like em’) Bonobos is a safe, but still really good looking way to head to the beach. Their High Tides collection offers an in-style shorter inseam of just 5″, and their low tides are perfect for the guys who’d rather not show so much leg. Also worth a look: Their seersucker suit separates (grey pants and jacket here) for $266, and this black or olive utilitarian looking yet sharp work brief for $160. Everything could be much cheaper if you took advantage of that $50 for $50 referral program they recently ran.
Banana Republic
: Extra 20% off Sale with BRSALE20 (exp. 6/27)

The Picks: Tailored Birdseye Suit Jacket & pant – $336
($535) | Soft Wash Slim Fit Plaid Shirt – $38.39
($64.50)
There’s a surprisingly large amount of sizes available both in the outstanding birdseye suit, as well as the Glen Plaid Tailored Fit and solid grey with peak lapels
. All are pretty highly rated which isn’t the easiest thing to accomplish on the web. Up close with birdseye fabric here. It’s an extremely versatile medium grey, but the pattern gives it some depth and makes it much more interesting than a standard solid suit. Shirt is one of their soft-wash models that are real pricey to start out with. Tailored fit and button down collar can make this a staple of your wardrobe. Wear it with a cotton or linen blazer and light pants for a warm night out. Code BRSALE20 expires Wednesday.
Jack Spade: Extra 25% off sale w/ JACKSEMI

The Picks: Buffalo Plaid Brief – $193.50 ($395) | Waxed Linen Accordion Brief – $231.75 ($395)
Be careful here… anything that’s more than half off, even if it doesn’t dip that low until after you apply the code, those items are final sale and can’t be returned. So the Buffalo Plaid can’t be returned. Both show off the brand’s ability to mix it up, keep it modern, but still look sleek and clean. The plaid brief leans wintery, but that shouldn’t stop you from using it now. The Waxed Linen brief looks awesome, and comes with more space thanks to it’s accordion 5.9″ of depth. Both are still far from cheap even with the discount. So why not a set of USA made wool check coasters?
Johnston & Murphy: Summer Sale

The Picks: Deece Plain Toe Boot – $199 | Deece Cap Toe – $199 | McPherson Suede Wing – $129
The first two are both made in Italy and come with blake stitch construction. The Chelsea boot was $375 and looks like it just might have a perfect shape. Boots like those can be worn with almost anything when it’s not too hot. Give them a spin with a tieless suit once and see if they work. The cap toe was $350 and has a much lighter weight look to it. No bulky department store J&M clunk here. Hard not to like the McPherson Suedes. Just ask Sabir.
Lands’ End / Lands’ End Canvas 25% off & free shipping w/ CHEERS & 3022

The Pick: L.E.C. Madras Blazer – $89.99 ($200)
Hmm. Has potential. Too loud for plenty, but stick with me here. The plaid looks to be a very washed madras. Potentially not as bad of a punch to the eyeballs. It’s unlined, and they’re calling it “shirt-weight” fabric. Started at $200, now down to $120 pre code. Comes in standard jacket sizes. Got a 38 on the way for an in-person. Want something much, much more versatile? Their Jackson suede chukka desert boot is now $28.49 shipped. Code expires Tuesday 6/26, and remember that the free shipping no min. offer doesn’t work on orders that contain nothing but clearance items. Those end in a $.97 and can be found on the big brother Lands’ End site.
Bonobos $50 off $100 purchase referral code:
http://curebit.com/x/pigJa
Jesus Christ, this post is not only spam, but ignorant as well: the $50 off $100 sale already ended.
Aside: I absolutely despise the rolled-up-sleeves-on-a-sportcoat look.
The blazer’s tempting. I think I’m gonna wait though, LEC blazer dip down to $20 sometimes if you can wait for them.
Actually, I was curious and clicked through the link and it still works. Wonder if an order would go through successfully
It still works.
Anyone have any experience with the J&M Hempstead Wingtip?

the sale ends today, so the referral code is good until the end of day.
Does anyone have the Jackson suede chukka desert boots from Lands’ End? The price is hard to pass up. I’m trying to decide whether to go with those or save up for a pair of Clarks and was wondering how the two compared.
That frickin’ sale drives me crazy. I would like to try the Bonobos travel denim but they are $98 and I can’t find anyway to hit $100 without going way over.
I bought the desert boots recently. They are pretty good quality considering the price. I went down half a size. I found them a little snug width wise, length was fine. Overall a great purchase imo.
Don’t they have no-show socks? They’re always useful and inexpensive.
I’ve tried on the jacket. It’s completely unlined and light as a feather. Very good for summer if you like the pattern.
I got a pair in the dark brown. The construction seems solid enough. The suede is super soft and they are basically unlined. They are incredibly comfortable. The toe box is a little too rounded, almost comically so, however. For the price? Can’t be beaten.
Can’t compare them to Clarks though – still waiting to get me a pair of those.

Their no-show socks (the cheapest pair of socks they have, mind you) are $24 meaning that it would eat up almost half of that $50 off deal. Just for socks!
*Really* liking those J&M McPhersons, especially at that price. Anyone have any experience with them
I’d love to pick up one on the super cheap, but I like the ones that are heavier on the navy.
That BR birdseye suit is nails. Too bad I still can’t afford it.
I know they’re pricey, but Orlebar Brown trunks are supposed to be some of the best out there. With the $50 discount at Bonobos, they’re just under $100, down from $240(!).
Still pretty high for the target audience here at Dappered, but a good deal if you’re hunting for high quality trunks this summer.
I bought 2 pair in sand and the lighter sand color they are extremely comfortable and I normally wear a size 10.5, I bought both a 10.5 and 11 to check the sizes, and the 10.5 fits perfectly, and I decided to keep the size 11 anyway and just wear it with a little thicker socks. Love them.
