Bally is one of those brands that’s high end enough that they’re completely out of reach for most of us.  They’re Swiss, they’re luxury, and some think they’re a little over priced.  For cryin’ out loud, their keychains run $90… at 40% off (reg. price: $150).  So yes, they set their prices high.  No, you don’t want to get all brand-worshippy, but when the prices aren’t that much more than a pair of DSW Mercs or Mike Konos, it is a real oddity.  The brand hasn’t shown up on LastCall in recent memory, and sizes are moving fast.  Still a splurge for most of us, but the prices are impressive for the brand.

Bally Beckford Loafer – $182 ($435)

Go ahead and call off the roving teams in the field searching for the world’s most perfect loafer.  It’s been found.  Yeah that’s hyperbolic, but look at that thing.  Penny strap with perfectly swept lines and an almost Batman-like coin slot.  The toe shape is perfect.  And then there’s the pinked/brogue details on the rear quarter panel.  A shoe that would look awesome along side a summer suit… even a cheap one.  Made in Switzerland.

 

Bally Ballinger Derby – $182 ($435)

Same price as the loafer, but a cap toe with brogue details.  Notice that the toe is a bit darker than the rest of the shoe, and that’s by design by the Bally people.

 

Bally Badia – $182.00 ($435) | Bally Calian – $178.50 ($425)

Watch yourself on the burnished toes on these.  The lighter version (the Callian) especially.  Looks to get a little too light for some of us.  Another open-laced derby but still has plenty of class.

 

Bally Baiser – $178.50 ($425)

For the guys who just want something simple and sleek.  There are plenty of you out there, and know your voices are certainly heard.  No medallions, perforations, wingtip stitching, etc…  A bit of a squared off toe on this one, but plenty modern without getting too chopped.
