Yes you can get sport coats for much, much less. Cotton sport coats especially. But in the spirit of the difficult-to-compare-athon that is Store Wars, comparing the Target Kensington Cotton Sport coat to one of these is more than apples and oranges. It’s apples and orangutans.*
Both are half canvassed and made in the USA. The Regent Fit on the left is going to fit a bit slimmer than the Fitzgerald on the right. Both have a distinctive pattern that’s not too wild. And both are made from Saxxon wool, which is light and resists wrinkling.
Each was $650, then got marked down to half off, and during the spring wardrobe event, the code SPWE12 takes an extra $50 off to drop then to $274.
