So they got bounced from the Store Wars tournament.  Early.  By Macy’s, who eventually bought the farm thanks to a convincing win by J. Crew Factory.  One of the knocks against Last Call was that they’re not a good overall resource.  They’re sort of a one-and-done for awhile shopping experience.  One random thing, at a super low price, and then you cool your heels till the next big sale.  Well here’s the next big sale.

Hush Puppies Grey Suede Loafer – $53.40 ($125)

Called the “Rem” loafer on LastCall.com, so it’s fair to assume that this is the Hush Puppies “Reminisce” loafer that usually goes for $105?  360 views available via Zappos, but they don’t seem to have the grey.  Perfect looking toe shape.  As simple as a suede loafer gets in a color that’ll go with almost anything.

 

Neiman Marcus Double Zip Dopp Kit – $33.00 ($95)

Barrels on a shotgun, Light Beer girls, and zippers on a dopp kit.  There are some things that just fair better in a pair.  Free shipping of course, nice looking medium brown leather.

 

Magnanni Handant Monk – $179.40 ($399)

Annnd there they are.  An upgrade for sure from the DSW Merc double monk, but too much more of an investment.  Expensive for plenty of us at pushing $180, but they ship free, and they’re something else.  Made in Spain.  Sizes are starting to go quick.  (Magnanni’s Handant Medallion laceup is also on sale for the same price.  Sizes are just about gone on that one.)

Last Call is the king of the not quite awesome but still plenty good looking affordable dress shirts.  Most of what they offer is just off this list, but still plenty to scan.  The lighter blue gingham is one of the safest, but far from boring bets.

 

Sperry Top-Sider Barrel Boat – $47.50 ($110)

Whoa.  Go-to-hell… shoes?  Green suede.  Sure.  So who’s interested?

 

2(x)ist All-Star Trunks in red or black – $10.20 ($22.00)

When did underwear and socks get so damn expensive?  Even at 40% off, ten bucks might be too much for some guys to spend on one (count em’… one) pair of underwear.  But they’re not tighty whiteys by any means.

 

Hugo Boss Pinstripe Wool/Cashmere Suit – $450.00 ($995)

Was a grand, now $450.  Not Alfani RED prices by any means, but it’s a wool cashmere blend.  During the previous LastCall sale (35% off) there was some confusion as to what was being sold.  Was it a suit?  Was it pants?  Why would they sell pants that almost cost $500 and show a jacket too?  Now it’s labeled a suit.  No word on fit though so be prepared to drop more money on tailoring.  Lots of patterns going on in the product photo, and that works for some, but the pinstripe could look incredible on top of a solid shirt and a toned down tie.  Y’know, toned down from a shined up purple paisley.

 

Hugo Boss Matano Suede Wingtip – $119.40 ($295)

I like beer, oatmeal, and salmon.  But not piled on top of each other.  I like grey, suede, and wingtips.  And unlike the Ale/Oatmeal/Fish combo, you can combine grey, suede, and wingtip styling.  Down to $120.  $300 seems a little friggin’ high.  Don’t be surprised if they’re made in China.

 

Neiman Marcus Swim Trunks – $39.00 ($95)

Plain as can be.  Boring to some, except for the multi-striped mesh lining.  Whooo!  PARTY IN MY PANTS.  Does have an elastic waist, which is a no-go for some.  A few colors available, and they look to be a bit longer than the current shorter swim trunk trend, but not quite board short length either.

 

Cotton Plaid Tie – $23.40 ($95)

Incredibly affordable, not too over the top summery (but plenty summery) and made in the USA.  Yeah, made here in the states.  Not bad.  Ships free of course with FSANN4.
