Think of a word that’s associated with J. Crew sportcoats, and you’re likely to think of “Ludlow.”  (Or “expensive” but hang with me here.)  Ludlow is the term for J. Crew’s closer, more modern fit.  Slim lapels, a nice contour at the waist, and plenty of guys can get away without any tailoring in one.

This ain’t a ludlow.

It’s an Aldridge.  Which is their more traditional, roomier fit, so despite the pictures online, it might need tailoring upon arrival depending on your body type.  And that means more money.  But the fabric is English Wool from the Abraham Moon Mill, there’s pick stitching on the still pretty slim looking lapels, and there’s a good amount of sizes left (update:  They’re almost sold out… looks like people are jumping on it.)  There is just one other tiny issue…
