Five decent looking & affordable rose gold watches
The hell makes rose gold rosey anyway? Turns out rose gold has that reddish or pinkish hue because it’s a gold and copper alloy. More copper in the mix will equal more intense reddish hues in the gold. Nifty.
Rose gold can be a little easier to wear than yellow gold. That red seems to strip a little of the cheese factor away when someone with lighter skin puts it on their wrist. But it’s still not a fail safe choice by any means. They’re a bit like blackout watches. Not for everyone. Maybe not even for most.

Timex T-Series Perpetual Rose Gold-Tone – $88.00* ($110)

Looks like the code FALL2011 is still taking 20% off most orders through Timex. Comes with a perpetual calendar and a not too big not too small 42mm case diameter.
Fossil Heritage Rose Gold Tone Chronograph – $125.00

Fossil can sometimes be a hard brand name to wear on your wrist because so many of their watches lean so young. This one is a relatively subdued chronograph. 41mm case diameter and comes equipped with a chronograph.
Tommy Hilfiger Rose Gold Plated Texture Dial – $155.00

Here’s the thing with this one. It looks great in the box, but as soon as you pick it up, you’ll feel how inexpensive this watch is. Made by Movado believe it or not, and made apparently for not a lot of money. It’s a looker, but if you get mugged for it, the dude who did the mugging might be disappointed. It’s not a chronograph. Those pushers do a couple of things (adjust the day of the week is one of them) and they do so with… um… “Yugo” like crispness.
Azzaro Legend Silver Dial – $207.12

Azzaro is one of those watch makers that comes with the “Swiss Made” stamp, is always a quartz movement, and seem to most often be listed for half off retail. Textured dial and a rose gold case that’s more subtle looking. Sold direct by Amazon and that’s a very good thing to have in your back pocket.
Torgoen T25 Carbon Fiber Dial – $221.17

A little (okay, a lot) out there as far as sport style goes. The usual Torgoen signature flight dial hands and larger than other brands 45mm case is standard here. A nice showing of rose gold in a sport style package.
BONUS – The Huge Splurge: Hugo Boss Automatic – $495.00

Part of the new line of Automatics from Hugo Boss (non rose gold options here, and here.) Like Hilfiger watches, these are manufactured by Movado. Unlike Hilfiger watches, they won’t feel cheap in your hands. Or at least they sure as hell better not for $500 (haven’t seen these in person yet.) Case diameter is reportedly “aprox. 45 mm” which seems way large if they’re not counting the crown. Cross your fingers for these to get marked down during Nordstrom’s half yearly sale for men. They might, they might not. But if they do, that’d be awfully nice.
Would you wear one? Are you on board with the pinkish hues of rose gold? Leave it all below…
Not a gold guy, but that Azarro looks nice. I find gold looks better on tan people. Which I am not. Great way to start the post, by the way. “The hell…” HAHA!
Hell yeah. I don’t enjoy yellow gold at all but I’m a huge fan of rose gold.
I’d try it on, anyway. I’m olive / tan so you’d think gold would look good on me, but it never has. I don’t think I’ve tried rose gold, though. That Azarro does look awfully nice.
The Hugo BOss is really nice, not sure I’d pay 500 for it, but on sale…. almost definitely. Actually like the way the TH looks also but disappointing to hear how cheap it feels.
Huge fan of rose gold. My never-gonna-happen watch is a nice rose gold Omega seamaster (brown face, brown leather band). Sadly, it’ll be a long while before I’ll be dropping $10k+ on a watch.

This time around of rose gold is growing on me. It’s a shame the HIlfiger is a POS, it looks pretty cool.
Hmmm not sure about rose gold, but a good looking watch is a good looking watch. The only one I dont really like here is the timex
I’d wear a rose gold watch, just not any of those.
I love me some rose gold. It works well even on darker or yellower-toned skin and is a nice alternative to white gold for those with nickel allergies.
When I think of gold watches I think of pimps! Gold on my brown skin comes off flashy. That Azzaro one looks nice though.
Rose Gold Audemars Royal Oak Offshore Rubberclad…
Oh sorry.. Hugo is the nicest IMO, but wouldnt drop 500 for it.
I love, love, love rose gold. I’m a horn player and some of the most visually beautiful, as well as best-sounding, horns are rose brass. A lot of professional players will get custom rose brass bells to put on their horns even if the rest of the horn is nickel silver or gold brass. So I’ve had a soft spot for rose gold for a long time. I have yet to find a rose gold watch that really speaks to me (that I can also afford), but I would certainly be interested in finding one.
Gold watch, no. Rose Gold watch, possibly. The only one I like above is the Hugo Boss, but I wouldn’t buy it…and I don’t really like it, just I like it more than the other 5 options.
I purchased a Skagen rose gold watch a close to a year ago at a Skagen outlet for like $40.00. I checked the model # online and it was like a $200.00 retail watch. When I get home, I’ll post up the model # and a link to it. Looks very similar to the Fossil watch above…
To me, gold is better thin and elegant than robust and sporty. A little goes a long way and that goes for rose gold, too.
My watch and wedding band are both gold, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have always worn dress watches and have a lot of love for rose gold. If I were shopping, I would definitely consider one of these.
I usually hate gold watches. The only one out of those five I would wear would be the Azzaro, and that would be with a great hesitation.
I would wear one, but it would have to be classic looking. Even old-fashioned. The Azzaro fits here. The Timex might, but is a bit too mundane for those criteria in a gold color.
