J. Crew Extra 40% Off Sale Items Clearance

Extra 40% off and Free Shipping on Sale with code LOVEIT

*Note: This appears to apply to not just final sale, but all sale items.  Expires 7/26/11

The graphics are a little misleading.  At first glance you might think that the code LOVEIT will only take 40% off an item marked “Final Sale.”  Final Sale items are the very ends.  The bottom of the barrel.  And that means you can’t return or exchange it.  But we took the liberty of testing out the code on a few plain ol’ regular sale items, and the 40% discount still works.

The code gets you free shipping too.  A pair of suede bucks went from an on sale + shipping charges price of $162.50… to $88.80.  That’ll work.  The code expires Tuesday, but by then the selection will be decimated for sure.

J. Crew Corded Cotton Sportcoat in Ludlow Fit – $71.99 ($148)
Striped, light, easy to wear.

Medium, Large, and XL still available at posting time.  Guaranteed to be the item that goes the quickest.  Seventy bucks shipped for a J. Crew sportcoat?  Guessing that hasn’t happened since 1995.  Final sale.

J. Crew Leather Railway Bag – $119.99 (reg. $298)
Looks good, but will it hold up?

“Built from supple but brawny genuine cowhide… it’ll take anything you throw at it.”  We’ll see.  J. Crew’s reputation on messenger bag leather quality isn’t the best, but that’s based pretty much on the strap issues of their canvas bag.  Original retail price for this bag should hopefully mean the leather is much, much better.  Final sale.

J. Crew Suede Bucks – $88.80 (reg. $168)
Not just for summer either.

The already referenced bucks.  Gotta love them in grey too.  Especially with jeans.  Traditional looking toe, not super sleek, but lookers all the same.  Doesn’t appear to be a final sale item.

J. Crew Vintage Utility Deck Jacket – $52.80 (reg. $98.00)
A good football season companion.

The hoodie upgrade.  An expensive upgrade, but a big upgrade.  Shawl collar, hook and eye closure, looks beefy and tough.  Speaking of tough, those hooks will probably be hell on your other clothes in the washer and dryer.

J. Crew Striped Watch Bands – $9.00 (reg. $20.00)
The impulse buy.

Yes you can buy one of these, for nine dollars, and it’ll ship free.  Four color/striped options available.  3/4″ wide.

Baird McNutt Linen Shirt in Slim Stripe – $29.99 (reg. $79.50)
August. Right around the corner.

Irish linen fabric, shirt’s made in China, $80 was a huge reach for a shirt.  Now just $30.  Lots of sizes.

J. Crew Linen Cotton V-Neck – $41.99 (reg. $98)
Not tiny.

The linen lessens the heaviness while the beefy v-neck and 5-gauge knit means it’s still no lightweight. More of an in the woods or unexpectedly cool morning sweater.  Final sale.

The J. Crew extra 40% off sale and free shipping code LOVEIT is set to expire on Tuesday 7/26
