Levis.com Semi Annual Clearance – Use Code EXTRA30
Credit to Shawn and Andy for sending in the style tips.
Here’s the bad news. You have to spend over $100 for free shipping to kick in. That’s not happening.
Here’s the good news: Even with the shipping (about $7.50) tacked on, the discounts are deeper than usual.
You’ll need the code EXTRA30 (which is right there on their site) to take 30% off sale items. The $100 free shipping kicks in AFTER the code is applied, so if you’re gunning for free shipping, remember it’s just an extra $7.50. Here’s a hypothetical $100 post code rundown:
.
Levi’s 514 in Coated Rigid – $27.93 ($59.50)

Slimmer than a 501, so if you’ve got bigger legs, these aren’t for you. Deep dark inky blue, still some good sizes left, and stitching which contrasts with the denim but leans more dirty off -beige than corn kernel yellow.
Levi’s Capsize Crew – $20.93 (reg. $55.00)

Tough to escape the nautical look this year. This crewneck is a solid way to embrace it, without going full Gordon’s Fisherman.
Levi’s Compass Crew – $27.93 (reg. $60.00)

As counter-intuitive as it might feel, try wearing this over a button up shirt. Doesn’t have to be anything real nice, maybe some old ratty thing you got at the thrift store.
Levis Western Short Sleeve Black/White Gingham Shirt – $27.93 (reg. $54.50)

The SSBU did surprisingly well yesterday. For those of us who don’t like that particular style, it’ll take something in a pattern like this (summery gingham) with a slim fit like a western shirt, and thanks to the non-plaid the white pearlized buttons blend in more than normal. Perfect for doing nothing, or doing nothing while drinking your favorite canned beer.
Total Cost: $104.72. Which is a lot of money to spend to just save $7.50 on shipping.
The Levi’s Extra 30% off Sale Items code EXTRA30 expires 7/6/11
The deal also goes for Dockers (30% off all sale/clearance items), but you only need $50 to get free shipping.
Dockers code is JULY4
My girlfriend brought me shopping to several men’s jeans boutiques while we were in NOLA last week. I tried on all the latest and greatest $200 jeans and we agreed – My 527s still look the best. thanks for the post – might be ordering that gingham and some 514s this week.
You know, it’s funny. I have pretty meaty legs and I find that the 514s are still the most flattering fit for my body type, not to mention the most comfortable. But I do end up getting a size or two larger in the waist than in most of my other pants.
The price on the 514s doesn’t add up, it’s coming out to $34.93 with the extra 30%.
Ignore me. Levi’s hides special adjectives in jeans that are identical…
It’s strange that I bought a 35W x 32L at Lord and Taylor, but the Levi’s store does not carry it.
Question for the masses: I’m generally more comfortable in well-tailored but traditionally-cut suit trousers. Only jeans I’ll absolutely swear by are the dirt-cheap Levi “Signature” line in regular fit, but I’m travelling a slow and cautious road toward enjoying slimmer cuts, and the classic white 501s with this steep discount have piqued my interest. Can anyone tell me the closest equivalent the 501 fit has to fits in other Levi lines? Is it a skinny jean?
I’ve never tried on the signatures (target right?) but 501s are straight and slim. Not skinny at all. Not as slim as a 514, and not as roomie as a 527. They’re sorta unique in that way.

I found the same, though I’m not ready to write off levi’s shrink-to-fits. straight 501’s just don’t do it for me, but stf’s I’m still on the fence about. currently waiting to shrink my own waist down just a bit more before soaking/shrinking the jeans down (stf’s are great when you’re losing weight: buy them the “right” size for now, then shrink ’em later after you’ve lost more weight and they’re too lose at the unshrunk size).
