J. Crew’s Shirt Sale – 30% off w/ free shipping and no minium.
No code neccessary. Prices are as marked.
Wait a minute. Correct me if I’m wrong, but these aren’t shirts that are stuck in the sale section with their sizes already being picked over. There’s no “select” group of shirts you’re stuck choosing from either. They’ll also ship you your shirt(s) for free, without having to go over some obscenely large spending threshold?
This. This never happens.

.HIT THE SWITCH ON THE FRANK MUYTJENS/DRUDGE SIREN ALARM!!!

This is a bit of a big deal. J. Crew hasn’t done a blanket category mark-down in awhile. For perspective, know that they sent out an email blast a few days ago promoting a “get free shipping when you spend $150 and use a code” offer. Yep, $150 was the line. On a scale of 1-10, this sale is a strong 7. J. Crew sales rarely get above a 5. Even their tall and slim size specific sections are involved. Impressive. Here’s some picks:
.
J. Crew Secret Wash Chatsworth Check – $45.50 (reg. $65.00)

Nice. Double gingham. Or, if you’re counting the white base, triple gingham. Having more than two non-neutral colors in a gingham shirt can get real busy real quick, but a shirt like this with the red and blue/purple is just enough to pop out of a V-neck or from under a khaki blazer.
J. Crew Neck and Sleeve Mini Tattersall Dress Shirt – $55.65 (reg. $79.50)

Pull up a carpet square. Once a upon a time, J. Crew didn’t sell neck and sleeve (meaning, precise 15.5/33 type shirts) dress shirts. It wasn’t that long ago either that they finally got into the true dress shirt game. The mini tattersall on this option is downright regal and it’ll be almost impossible to find anywhere else.
J. Crew Secret Wash Windowpane – $39.99 (Reg. $59.50)

Kind of like gingham but jumps more from a farther distance. Under $40 for a long sleeve shirt from J. Crew plus the thing ships free? It was said earlier, this doesn’t happen every day.
The 30% off J. Crew Shirt Sale ends Friday 6/10 at 11:59pm ET.
Ordered 7, yes seven, oxfords yesterday. Lord help me.
Oh man…you are making me so broke, Joe W.
Just a bit of a tip for those who typically where an XL in J. Crew. I wouldn’t bother paying extra for the slim fit… it slims most notably in the shoulders. The chest and waist though… not so much.
I shall have to check on this, Sir Frank, as I am the mentioned exceedingly large.
J.Crew must have heard that THE FRANK MUYTJENS/DRUDGE SIREN ALARM because charging extra for slim for is a pile of you know what. I have always LOVED paying extra for tall sizes, and can’t wait till paying more for fashion forward (apparently) slim fit clothing catches on too. Whoo!
can i get a fit comment on a medium slim fit? how is the Silhouette? looking at the Tattersall. Tempation beckons…
agreed! Geesh!!!
does this work on shirts that are already on sale?
dismiss that one…figured it out…
I used the deal and picked up the chambray shirt in a slim fit. These shirts never go on sale and my store doesn’t carry the slim fits so this was a no-brained for me. I wish they made the red chambray in slim too, oh well.
Love the Drudge Siren!
The urban slim chinos in dusty red are 19.99, just bought a pair of 30x30s
Beej….my Father used to say that he was old enough to remember paying more for putting lead in his gasoline and then paying more to have it taken out….
how long does this sale last?
If it makes you feel any better, you probably pay less at the dry-cleaner than a woman who needs comparable items cleaned. Personally, as someone who wears size small and slim fits, I kind of wish I were paying for clothes per yard of material, rather than ‘subsidizing’ the cost of those XXLs. 😉
Life is full of injustices!

Wait, I thought we were supposed to help you SAVE money. I kid. Rule #1 is, no matter how good the sale, if you don’t have the money, you can’t rationalize the purchase with how good the sale is. Sounds like you might have to sit this one out John? 🙂
Surprisingly, I see several xxl’s costing more.
Also, learning economics has made me think that far fewer things are injustices than I’d previously believed. Plug for the econtalk podcast. 🙂
The J. Crew Factory sale is up as well.
Is the quality of those shirts considerably less than the main brand’s ones?
I’ve got several of both….and I like ’em both. Only my nicest oxfords from jcrew are noticeably (to me) “not-factory.” Especially for the price, the factory ones are better’n most.
J.Crew Factory is having some kind of Father’s Day sale on their men’s items. Just picked up a cotton military jacket, tattersall shirt, and “magic wallet” for <$100 total, plus free shipping.
Sit it out?? Are you kidding…my credit card was out 30 seconds after I read your post.
