Urban Outfitters BDG Polka Dot Cardigan – $38.00
It looks nice and fitted, the V dips the absolute perfect amount, and believe it or not it’s made in the U.S.A.
Dots get a bad wrap. Birdseye is a great pattern. Pin dots are terrific. And these polka dots are far from the twister sized circles the rent-a-clown wore on his outfit at your 5-year-old niece’s birthday party.
It’s a cotton poly blend but that has to be outweighed by the Made in the U.S.A. label. That and the poly will help keep it from shrinking up. Also, cardigans are like sport coats and blazers. Keep em’ buttoned as much as possible and don’t let those sides fly like the model does on the U.O. website.
But would you wear it? Or is it… y’know… a little too Father Know’s Best?
Your take goes in the comments below.
.
Sure would.
Wouldn’t. My wife loves polka dot dresses and heels, so polka dots come across as feminine to me.
I’ve been on a cardigan kick, so consider that worn.
dont like the scale, if it were micro dots…cool…
Probably not. Its not terrible, but I’m not really feeling it.
This is the kinda thing that I would wear if I was tiny and adorable but I’m not. I’m gigantic and that would be far too many polka dots. It’s cool, though. I think the right guy could totally rock this.
I would. I’ve actually been eying this cardigan for a while. Haven’t pulled the trigger because I’ve had some weird things happen to BDG cardigans in the past.
Not as bad as I thought, but the answer is still no.
Definitely would.
Mr. Rodgers called….He wants his sweater back
i resent this statement. I am a fan of the late great Mr. Rogers (hes dead right? lol) I thought he had it all right with his style…
I would. As long as the rest of the outfit is muted and this is the stand out piece, I think it would be perfect.
Ack. Not for me.
Yezzir.
