Lord & Taylor 25% off Everything Sale

Lord & Taylor Friends & Family Sale – Use code FRIENDS for the 25% off

Free shipping on orders of $150 or more

To quote the immortal master of poetry Joe Namath, Lord & Taylor is strug-a-ling.  Especially when it comes to appealing to men.  They’re just sorta… there.  Bought and then dumped by the parent company of Macy’s/Bloomingdale’s between 2005-2006, they’ve been hanging out ever since.  Not making a ton of noise, and doing their business on the East coast.

But they have themselves a website, and their “Friends and Family” sale marks down almost everything by 25%.  Did some digging, and here’s the few diamonds in that rough:
.

ESQ by Movado Filmore – $146.25 (reg. $195)
The best looking sub $200 dress watch?

The round case Filmore by ESQ is not the easiest watch to find.  Even harder is catching it on sale from a trustworthy source.  The discount drops it just under the free shipping threshold of $150, so pick up a 3-pack of Calvin Klein briefs for $13.78 (or something else inexpensive) and you’ll get it shipped free.

Seiko Brown Flight Dial Watch – $117.00 (reg. $195.00)
Under $120.

Already marked down, the extra 25% off puts it right at the almost everyone can afford it level.  Almost everyone might be able to afford it, but not everyone digs the brown on brown dial to strap look.

Fossil Jackson Duffle Bag – $148.50 (reg. $198)
Simple.

Shoot.  Just under the $150 free shipping threshold again.  Gonna have to pick up some socks/underwear to push it over that $150 line.  It’d be silly not to, being that shipping runs a crazy $12.95.  One of Fossil’s classiest pieces.

Polo Wrap Aviator Sunglasses – $112.50 (reg. $150.00)
Updated fit and angles

For those who want a wire framed pair but don’t want to go full Top-Gun.  Still expensive at over $110, and worth checking out in person at a brick and mortar before taking the plunge.

BOSS Black Recco Lace-Up – $146.25 (reg. $195.00)
Just a sleek black dress shoe

Oh come on.  Just under $150 again?  Has a chisel toe so not everyone will like it, but a simple black dress lace up is hard to find in this price range.  Sleek through the sides.  Hard to find on sale.

Don’t forget to use the code FRIENDS for the 25% off discount.  Orders ship free over $150.

Their stores in the Washington DC Metro area have a wealth of good finds. I picked up three Ralph Lauren Blazers at the end of winter for $50 to $75 each and a number of other staples at rock bottom prices. They are best at the end of seasons, most items are marked 25-50% off, then they tack 50% off marked prices and offer a 20-30% coupon on top of it. That surely beats any other big box retailer on name brands.

This is my favorite store next to Lands End Canvas.

Been waiting to bite on the Filmore for quite some time now. This finally made me take the plunge and will be my first watch. Tipped it over $150 with the CK boxer briefs, courtesy of that underwear post a few weeks back. But I don’t give a damn if anybody gives me a damn about whitey tighteys- being comfortable and content come first!

    Thanks for the pick, Joe!

    Is this too, um, yellowy:

Can’t decide if it looks “different” or weird. Also not finding the matching pants in the photo…
