Our friends over at Primer Magazine have a mission. That mission is to help younger, 20-something men make the transition from the baggy jeans & hoodie world of college, to the real world of grown ups. Getting outfitted in adult-appropriate clothing is a huge part of making that leap, but figuring out where to shop can be a problem.
There’s just not a lot of retailers who consider decently dressed men as a priority. Even my local Gap recently rearranged their floor layout in order to appeal more towards women. Used to be you’d walk in, and the ladies stuff would be to the left, with guys clothes to the right. No longer. It’s all the women’s department when you walk in, with the guys selection buried in the back.
It ain’t getting any easier. So when Primer came to us and asked if we’d put together our own top 10 list of the best stores for guys to shop at, there was no hesitation. Even if you’re well past that post-college part of your life, click on over and check out our guest post for Primer. I’m sure you’ll recognize most if not all the picks.
