Lands’ End Canvas Winter Sale

Lands’ End Canvas Winter Sale 2010 – Use code SANTA40 and pin 4517

Use code SANTA40 and pin 4517 for 40% off your highest priced item and free shipping over $75.  Big thanks to Shawn in the comments section for leaving the code…

Wrap your shivering in the cold brain around this one…  sooner rather than later, retailers will have their spring lines showing up in stores.  That’s weird.  Especially when stadium roofs are collapsing under the weight of snow, and Santa is still a week out from firing up the sleigh.  But there have been a ton of winter sales launching over the past few days.  Which means they’re starting to make room, y’know, for the warm weather stuff.

Lands’ End Canvas is currently holding a select items up to 40% off sale, which doesn’t sound that appetizing at first, but it’s actually pretty decent.  Lots has been marked down… lots.  Here’s some of the best.
.

Cotton Wool Blend Crewneck Sweater – $20.39 w/code (reg. $49.50)

Just over $20. Mainly cotton, then nylon, then some wool.

Too bad the most popular colors aren’t on sale.  But a brown, spruce green, and a kinda cool enough that it’s tempting to give it a run “copper” orange are at a reduced price.  Same with a dark burgundy and bright red.  Crew necks are more casual than V-necks, but they’re great on Fridays or the weekend.  Plus, this one is a blend.  Which means it should be a little lighter and a little slimmer.  A good crew neck to layer with.  Most crews at this price will be too thick to layer, spongy, and 100% cotton.
.

Cotton Wool Blend V-Neck Sweater – ALL are $20.39 w/code (reg. $49.50)

Also on sale. But all colors on this one.

No picking and choosing colors on this one.  All of the color selections are on sale.  That’s a bonus.  Extra points for the thickness around the V.  Some brands, i.e. Banana Republic, are now making their v-necks with a minuscule amount of extra material around the neck, and often the Vs plunge ridiculously low.  This looks to have a substantial amount of collar ribbing, plus it doesn’t look like it dips all that far down.  Nice.
.

Straight Fit Cords – $20.39 w/code (reg. $49.50)

Some different colors than normal.

There’s still plenty of corduroy weather left, and these come in a great selection of colors.  14 wale corduroy is nice and tight too.  No big fat lines of plush running down your quads.
.

Cotton Cambridge Shawl Collar Sweater – $20.39 w/code (reg. $49.99)

Cheap for the style.

Could very well become your go to extra layer at home.  Much better looking than that old hooded sweatshirt from your Alma Mater’s bookstore.
.

Marled Cotton Twill Blazer – $46.19 w/code (reg. $129.50)

tis the blazer season.

Kinda like tweed, but not wool expensive.  Cotton twill, decent looking cut, and could be dressed up or down depending on what you’re wearing it with.  Great price.
.

Silk Wool Blend Ties – $13.79 w/code (reg. $39.50)

Thanks sheep and worms.

Wool ties are a must.  But a lot of them are now coming in an ultra skinny width.  If you want your tie knot to look like anything more than a speck, you’ll need a little more width.  2 3/4″ is good for that.  Just over $20.

The Lands’ End Canvas Winter Sale is on now, and… who knows when it’ll go away.
