Not a lot of us have “fine china.”  Plates without chips is fancy enough.  But having some go-to wine glasses for when it’s just you and your significant other is something we should all have at the ready.

I didn’t know a red-wine glass could look this good.  Sure there are some glasses out there with incredible curves, but somehow these from the Finnish maker Iittala manage to be both modern and masculine, all while not straying too far from the classic red wine glass shape.

I know Gilt is grounded until 2011.  But in full honesty, I first stumbled across these under their “Gilt Home” tab.  Available for $28 on Gilt (although it’s a final sale, non returnable item) and for a bit more on Amazon.

For the guys who are extra secure in their masculinity… they make white wine glasses too.
