If you’ve ever tried to wear a navy blazer with jeans and thought it was all just a little too blue… here’s the remedy. They’re a chunk of stand out color for your feet which will bring out all the right things with your denim and blazer.
Light tan with some brogue detailing but a cap toe instead of the wing tip. Nice reinforced eyelets with thicker cotton and easy to tie laces.
With these you could even go with a red sweater under that navy jacket and not feel like you were ready to lead a 4th of July parade down the street.
Nicely inexpensive, probably not for beginners.
Don’t forget to use the code ASOS20 at checkout for the discount. (Thanks Joe!)
This boot isn’t Ohio weather ready-worthy…what would you recommend that’s nice and stylish like this, but ready for snow?
I second the above comment…search for a great looking ‘winterproof’ boot.
I liked these at first glance, but damn Josh had to be the voice of reason :). He’s right I probably wouldn’t buy these with winter coming, though they might be nice for the other 3 seasons.
Free shipping and 20% ASOS branded product. Uses promo code ASOS20.
Hey Joe,
I ordered these shoes last week, I think I will be getting them in the mail today!
Does anyone have any experience with the fit of the ASOS branded shoes? I wear a size 9 1/2 but they only offer them in 9 or 10. Any suggestions?
Agree! Need great Ohio winter-wear boots!!!
Thirding the request for a winter boot round-up.
Hrm I could have sworn there was a recent post regarding a boot roundup, but I’m having trouble finding it. I’m sure Joe would have better luck :).
However, I’m certain there have been various boots featured as a single item or item in a list in the past few weeks. I think we have seen Timberland Earthkeepers come up a couple times, and a few others. Try looking back at some of the roundups in the past few weeks and you might find a sturdier/warmer, yet stylish boot option.
I have the old boots like this that had the wingtip detailing…great price but the quality of leather is not that nice. They look better distressed and with jeans or chinos than with khakis.
These shoes are pretty nice looking, and quite the bargain it seems. However, I forth or fifth or whatever the winter boot roundup, I’ve been dying to find a nice wet weather ready stylish boot for the winter. It seems like with the new lumberjack boot trend that there are more options than ever, but I find myself still leaning towards the duck boot styles.
Here’s the boot article. It’s about hiking boots, but they look pretty wintry to me.
So guys, I did a small write up on these boots because I got them in the mail the day that Joe wrote this article and here is the link http://mensstylepro.com/2010/11/27/booted-and-blazered/
Just picked up a pair. Joe, what does “… probably not for beginners.” mean?
@John: Light brown is just more noticeable and a bit more difficult to work with. I think it helps to have a bit of swagger to wear them well. Kinda like a glen plaid suit vs. a plain charcoal suit.
