Rugby Jersey Blazer – $62.50 | Navy Wool Blazer – $125.30 | Marl Twill Blazer – $90.65
Use code LESHARE30 and pin 7785 at checkout
Happy birthday Lands’ End Canvas. Until the clock strikes 11:59pm ET today (Monday the 15th) you can take 30% off all purchases plus get free shipping when you spend over $50 and use the code LESHARE30 & the pin 7785. Not a bad deal at all. Especially because all of their blazers fulfill the requirements for both sides of the promotion.
A sidenote: I’ve got no idea why Lands’ End Canvas requires a code and a pin at checkout. Just must be the way they set up their online retail system?
The Rugby Jersey looks like a blazer cut straight from a sweatshirt, and that’s probably a little too relaxed for most. The black matte buttons on the navy wool blazer is a nice modern take on a classic… and the code gets the price down to a decent point. The Marled Twill? Looks like a less expensive, two button, cotton version of this one from L.L. Bean Signature. If you’re gonna go with one, go with that one.
*The Lands’ End Canvas anniversary sale code LESHARE30 & pin 7785 is good through 11/15
**If you want a corduroy, they offer one of those too. A warning, it’s a three button with a patch chest pocket. If you want two buttons, no patch pockets at all, and a dependable trim fit? Try this on sale J. Crew Ludlow.
I saw that marled cotton a while back… I thought it looked good too, but I’m still not sure about this whole look of both the LL Bean one from a while back and the lands end… I can’t decide if the styling is awesome or a bit too casual to be truly useful…
Cheers,
Ben
Just ordered that jersey blazer before reading this. I’m on the fence but wanted to try it out as a nicer (or at least more interesting) alternative to a sweatshirt. We’ll see how it goes…
I like these. A lot.
@Greg: Let us know how it looks and wears. I’m interested…
I had been considering the navy blazer since LEC released it a month or so back, and then I saw it was included in the 30% off group on Friday. Finally decided to pull the trigger on an XL last night as I knew it was an easy return to Sears if the fit is wrong for me (tall, thin, long arms). We’ll see. As long as it is tailorable and the functional buttonholes don’t create an unworkable problem…
@Joe: The jersey blazer arrived yesterday. Haven’t worn it out and about yet, but my initial reaction is I like it. It’s definitely casual but will work fine with jeans or chinos. It’s a bit more relaxed than a corduroy or cotton blazer, and I’ll use it more as outerwear I think. You wouldn’t look at it and think “weird sweatshirt”.
@Greg: Nice! REALLY good to hear (being that I’m thinking about getting one for myself).
