Uncle Nordy wants this stuff gone. Cashmere sweaters. Lots of chukkas. Plenty of Bonobos.

I tried on the wool blend herringbone blazer a couple weeks ago in the store – fantastic pattern and pretty good fit at the shoulders and waist taper. Need to go one size down if you want the correct fit. However, there was one significant problem with it – I wear 15.5 and 32/33 shirts and while the Small size was a good fit in the shoulders, the sleeves were too long by about 2 inches. My understanding is that jacket sleeves that have functional buttons and button holes cannot be easily altered (please let me know if I am wrong about this!). Since the buttons/holes are functional on this jacket, I had to reluctantly pass.

I bought the moleskin blazer from the GAP outlet a few weeks ago for about $40.

    Outlets rock.

Not sure about these. I like saving a buck as much as the next guy but I would pass on the Gap for sport coats.

In my opinion, rather than buying three Gap sport coats why not check out ebay where for the same amount of money you can probably score a brand new jacket from Canali or Zegna (or if you are lucky maybe even Oxxford or Brioni)? Far superior fabric and full canvas front construction. Just a thought…
