Don’t know what’s up with Giltman.com as of late, but their usually filled in advance weekly calendar has been awfully empty.  You used to be able to get a good handle on an entire week’s worth of sales just by checking in on Monday.  Now you’re lucky to know what’s coming up more than a day in advance.  And that’s why it’s worth noting the Swiss Army Watch sale that’s happening on Gilt today.  It materialized as scheduled for Wednesday October 13th at Noon ET, only about 24 hours in advance.  Surprise.

From the preview pic it looks like their Garrison (round case, leather band), and Officer’s 1884 (rectangle case, metal band) should be included in the sale.  The Garrison costs $233.75 with a rubber band on Amazon, and the Officer’s 1884 runs $375 retail on the Victorinox website.  It’s also available for $229.95 (but unfulfilled) on Amazon.

If memory serves, the last Swiss Army sale on Gilt had a large but stylistically scattered selection.  And a lot of it was still pretty expensive.  Worth a peek, but it’s also worth having the Amazon Victorinonx page open while visiting the sale.  Just to make sure you’re actually getting a decent deal from Gilt.
