Kenneth Cole New York Tan Wool Suit – $184.99 (reg. $499.99)
Earth tones have made a Lazarus like rise from the dead in the slim fit suit world. First it was the darker brown Alfani RED, and now a not quite khaki, not quite brown Kenneth Cole two button has appeared on Overstock.com.
I can’t say enough about Kenneth Cole New York wool suiting. They’re accessible, almost always on sale, and the shape is neither too conservative nor too Thom Browne trendy. The shoulders have some but not too much padding, the waist is pre-contoured, and if you’ve got a good tailor… they can bring it in to look like a suit that cost twice as much. The button placement is perfect, and the lapels are slim and timeless.
Skip the paisley tie, go with a simple stripe, and maybe add a bright white oxford for some pop. Brown laceups and a solid looking watch
? Might have something there.
But would you spend almost $200 on one? And would you wear it year round? Leave your answers in the comments section below.
Just a suggestion on the shoes: Mercanti Fiorentini 6352 Italian Leather Oxford – $119.95 (reg. $250)…
I would certainly wear it.
Will I buy it? Realistically… probably not. But it’s a great suit nonetheless.
It’s actually very cheap for a suit. Less than $200 is a huge bargain. The suit fit looks excellent and I would definitely wear the suit. Not that I have the $200 at this moment to buy it. But it’s a great find for someone who’s willing to spend on an extra suit. The color might be a little deceiving with how it looks on my monitor and how it might look in reality.
I like the dark brown, but the tan reminds me of cheap polyester business suits – and Dwight Shrute.
