Just different enough… right?
In a year where it seems like designers are trying way too hard to freshen the styling on their coats and jackets, this Peacoat from Shades of Greige seems to nail it when it comes to the unique factor.
A shawl collar. Not a hugely wide or unnecessarily long shawl collar, but just a shawl collar. With similar proportions as most other Peacoat collars. The thing almost blends in. Which when it comes to redesigning a classic, isn’t that what we all want? Don’t we want that new twist to blend so seamlessly with the old, that it doesn’t knock you over the head?
The length looks perfect (neither too cropped or knee length) and the details like the buttons and cuffs all look solid. Plus, no epaulets, which have shown up on everything as of late.
50% wool / 50% acrylic and extremely affordable at half off retail. Careful though, this is a final sale so no returns or exchanges. Only Medium, XL, and XXL left.
.
What’s your take? Thumbs up or thumbs down on the collar?
